I have my FTV JtMS, and I need to use it in a deck. Ive decided I want to make either W/U or W/B/U. I dont own any good creatures to use as the commander. I was thinking maybe Geist of Saint Traft ..Idk. What are so good commanders in these colors? Thanks!

Multiplayer or 1v1? Normal rules or French?

You need to give us a bit more information.

Well most of the time it will just me me and 1 or 2 other people playing EDH. We like to use planeschase and archenemy cards. Occasionally Ill attend the EDH league at my LGS. I dont know what french rules are though Epochalyptik. That is the extent of my EDH play.

I've been enjoying Oloro, Ageless Ascetic thoroughly.

@8vomit: French rules are a variation of EDH developed specifically for 1v1 matchups. "Duel Commander," as it's called, has a different ban list and a modified command zone replacement effect.

What kind of deck are you looking to build? It doesn't really sound like you want to use infinite combos, but there are still plenty of other options: goodstuff, artifacts, control, and stax are all viable.

There are also may viable generals.

If you'd like to play competitive 1v1 EDH (likely using French rules), then Geist of Saint Traft , Zur the Enchanter and Grand Arbiter Augustin IV are probably the best options.

You can take a look at some competitive French rules decks here. Almost all of the blue decks in this format run Jace, the Mind Sculptor .

The commanders recommended so far are pretty good.

If you are looking for a flavor or budget commander, Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer is a fun commander to play and really reflects the flavor of Azorius.

Thanks all for your suggestions, this gives me a lot of options. I own a copy of Sharuum the Hegemon , but I dont have a very broad collection of artifacts, so I felt like that wouldnt be the best general. But perhaps its a good place to start. Im really liking Oloro, Ageless Ascetic though. Maybe Ill just pick up one of the C13 decks and start tweaking it. Are there deck lists for the C13 decks anywhere?

I dont need to build a hyper competitive EDH, thats just not necessary for my EDH play, but I want a deck that can hold its own at the EDH leagues at my LGS.

Wizards of the coast has the deck lists for the precons on their website http://www.wizards.com/magic/tcg/productarticle.aspx?x=mtg/tcg/cmd13/decklists#deck3 . The pre-con decks are really good for new players to get a feel for the format.

A lot of people are getting excited about Oloro, Ageless Ascetic right now but to be totally honest I don't advise him. When he was leaked I made an EDH for him that looked really exciting; using life as currency was finally a politically sound option now that I'd be getting an "allowance" every turn and it was an interesting looking, heavy black focus deck that I thought would combo out nicely and surprise a lot of people at my FNM....unfortunately, what played out was me getting to enjoy the feeling of being the biggest aggro target I've ever witnessed at an EDH table. If anything said "target opponent", it was gonna be me, if there was any combat that could go through my blockers, in it came. The deck wasn't goldfishing of course, so I was able to wrath and Doom Blade and Charm my way into the 12 turn mark on most games but the Oloro EDH in a multiplayer setting is never "another player", it's you directly against however many people are seated. I remember a seasoned player sending rakdos return for 8 my way when I had 46 life, nine mana on table and a Jace Beleren in play (the turns prior had seen all my blockers chewed up) WHILE a third player was seated with a Kalonian Hydra going on to it's fourth attack, and at SIX life! (Sorry if I seem angry, it was infuriating to watch that Kal Hydra eat the table alive in the following three turns) anyways, the issue with Oloro is people expect a pillow fort. No one wants to look away and see you with 188 life, a Serra Avatar that's been Cloned, Evil Twin'd, and Phantasmal Image'd and an Ajani, Caller of the Pride ready to -8, and that's fair. But if you have more talented and interesting plays in mind, forget 'em, I unpacked Oloro after about two weeks.

With that word of warning aside, I think players with a head for Esper will always consider Sen Triplets to be the best it's going to get, but if you're not confident tackling that one, you can definitely make some exciting artifact decks with Sydri, Galvanic Genius or Sharuum the Hegemon , but since you want to play your Jace, the Mind Sculptor to big advantage, you're probably better off ignoring Esper's artifact angle completely and focusing blue. Are you SURE you want to play Esper? Jace is far better suited to mono.
