Sideboard

Standard black discard deck... Nearest I can get to 8-rack in Standard. I built this as a budget Standard deck as there's not as much graveyard action in Standard now SOI block has rotated so discard can work ok.

The key here, as with 8-rack,is inevitability. Use Duress, Harsh Scrutiny and other discard effects to reduce your opponents options, deathtouch in Skittering Heartstopper and Gifted Aetherborn to take out any creatures they do manage to play until you get to Torment of Scarabs at which point they have to lose creatures each turn, discard every card they draw, or lose life. Raiders' Wake from the new Ixalan set narrows their options even further - they either lose creatures, lose 3 life from Torment or discard and lose 2 from Wake. A Torment and a Wake together are a nasty lock they will struggle to get out of.

Never//Return and Doomfall are in for removal, but Doomfall also doubles as discard.

You can use the second half of Never//Return as well as sideboarding in Deadeye Tracker and using his activated ability as a bit of graveyard hate against creatures that can be embalmed.

Heartless Pillage, also from Ixalan, is another discard option but also rewards you if you attack with Dreamstealer or one of your deathtouchers, by giving you a treasure token which can give you another mana to help you get out the key enchantment cards which are in the 4-drop slot.

If they have had to sacrifice their creatures to Torment, you can get in for some free hits with whatever you've got on the field.

By this time you should have built up enough mana to play a 3 or 4 mana Torment of Hailfire to finish them off.

In the unlikely event they get a lot of creatures out early there are three copies of Bontu's Last Reckoning to take them out; don't worry about losing your creatures too as the enchantments and discards are more important. The creatures in this deck are expendable and are only there to keep aggro opponents off your back and provide some discard abilities. A Bontu's Last Reckoning after you've got your lock on is the most depressing thing your opponent can face. At that point they can't hope to build their board up again before they are Tormented to death.

I can see this deck being weak against blue counterspells and card draw but you can always board in more Duress and Lay Bare the Heart in those situations to get rid of their counters and draw cards. There are multiple copies of the wincons so they would need to have a lot of counterspells or enchantment removal.
