-Nissa, Vital Force

+Electrodominance

Really want to try out Electrodominance. Seems like really good value. I am typically able to generate lots of mana allowing me to finish off a low opponent or remove a threatening creature and does not hurt tempo with the free cast. The thought of a Riku copy is to temping to pass up.

Had a hard time finding a cut. Settled on Nissa, I usually play her for the recursion effect. After which she is promptly killed off. If I am hoping to use her for the ult Totyova just does it straight up and was slotted in last update. Going to try it out and see if I miss her.

+1 for a unique and interesting deck!

Have you considered Kamahl's Druidic Vow ? It's a lot weaker than Genesis Wave, but still hits lands the same. World Shaper runs the risk of milling combo pieces but if you already have Valakut in play, you can aim a bolt at it for a bunch of extra mountains. The Mending of Dominaria does a similar massive land drop.

Have you thought about running Tatyova, Benthic Druid ? The card draw will be insane, and the life gain can be very beneficial. You should also consider Manabond , espeically since you are running Meloku the Clouded Mirror . They combo nicely together. Patron of the Moon could be strong, too.

Just a side note here: How is Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle not legendary? Wizards screwed that one up...

ThoAlmighty Thank you for the comment and +1. Of your three suggestions World Shaper was once in the deck. If I remember correctly it was cut for being too slow and the situations I played it with a full graveyard and bolt ready for it too infrequent. I'm afraid The Mending of Dominaria will similarly be too slow. It also has the draw back of being telegraphed so I will likely be targeted when it hits the field. Kamahl's Druidic Vow is interesting, I will keep it in mind the few games. The legendary requirement is what makes me somewhat hesitant as Riku typically does not stick around and there are only seven other cards that satisfy the requirement.

bushido_man96 Thank you for the comment and +1. Tatyova, Benthic Druid should absolutely be in here, not sure why it is not except maybe finding a cut target proved to difficult. Any help on the front would be appreciated. Manabond used to be in the deck, I rarely had a hand full of lands so it was often a dead draw. Patron of the Moon is a card I have been considering for a while. It pairs nicely with Storm Cauldron and Meloku the Clouded Mirror but those are the only two cards so I am having a difficult time assessing just how much it would help.

I absolutely agree that Valakut should be legendary, the flavor of the card and having a proper name all point to it being one a kind. I am happy about this particular screw up by Wizards as I thoroughly enjoy this deck and it really would not be viable in a group setting without being able to copy Valakut.

Thank you both for the suggestions, I will keep them in mind to see if I should reevaluate previous card judgments.

Well thought out deck... Most of my ideas for additions were already there when i went looking. I feel like the big weakness is card draw for you. I see a few great ones like sphinx and tatoyva... but id like to see a few more... ie Rhystic Study or even some ones like Fact or Fiction and Wheel of Fortune and Windfall . Because its not a bad thing to have those lands in the graveyard. One you have crucible or runumap out. Just an idea... but youd definitely want world shaper and other ways to get lands back out of the yard.
