500 UpVotes! Thanks to everyone who’s given their input on the list. It’s taken lots of help to get the deck tuned to the point that it is today. This deck is a passion of mine that I love to play at Modern events whenever I can. I’ve taken down some fully powered modern decks over the years with this deck. This wouldn’t be possible without this community. Thanks again for all of the support.

Have you considered Gonti's Machinations? Its actually a little more efficient than a lightning helix in terms of raw damage.

Hey! I'm in a $100 USD playgroup and I've been trying to adapt your list for my meta. I really appreciate the insane amount of work you put into this, and I'd appreciate your insights into how to make my version more competitive (keep in mind I'm playing exclusively against other $100 decks). Anyway, let me know what you think. DECKLIST

JostinFrutz Thanks for the love. I’m excited to see your list and to come up with a spin of my own at some point.

Thanks HobbyMan5000! I've been enjoying playing this build almost more than my full fledged version.

The creatures in this deck are awful. Not even standard playable.

Hahaha Metropolis39 Trust me... They are back breaking.
When not dealt with, Winding Constrictor is a house. Glint-Sleeve Siphoner will bury you in Card Advantage when paired with the snake and even more so with Gonti's Machinations. Bloodhall Ooze can be a T3 5/5 and a T4 9/9. Olivia Voldaren will steal your creatures once you've spent all of your early removal. And Woodland Wanderer is often a 6/6 or 7/7 Trample with Vigilance.
Play against it and see what you can pull off. Energy is entirely broken and under represented.

A lot of the creatures are solid by themselves, but they really shine when combined with winding constrictor. Maybe not good enough for top tier modern, but quite respectable for their prices. I have a similar deck in pioneer and its very fun to play. Even if the cards are slightly worse by themselves compared to say bob or goyf or lotv, they have more synergy as well.

I completely agree zapyourtumor. The deck while not as brutal as Tier 1 Modern decks. It still packs a punch due to the high value synergy.

Sarulf, Realm Eater?? Growing +1/+1 creature that can also wipe later in the game, seems good for jund to me!

Thanks for the feedback Jabberjaw46! I like that first ability... The second portion is really circumstantial as it would most likely wipe out my entire board. But I really like the constant growth. I'll add it to the list!

Jabberjaw46 I really like the addition of Sarulf, Realm Eater. I knew of the card since my son uses it in his GB Commander deck. Just didn't pick up on the synergy for some reason. I think the board wipe part was my main focus in reading the card. It seemed like a feel bad to wipe out my 5/5 Bloodhall Oozes and Winding Constrictors. But it has big upside and flexibility if I'm on the wrong side of board control.

Just came across your list. Been running something similar but at the $60 price tags. Hadn't considered constrictor ( was using leech in similar role but constrictor is way better)
A couple of cards I've found particular good that may work in your list.
Bonecrusher Giant guys a solid value machine and doubles up as removal. (He's also difficult to deal with for Opponents when they are on the back foot)
Dread Fugue dose a pretty good thoughtsize impression (using as 1-2 of. Its been generally better that duress)
Domri, Anarch of Bolas often on of the better 3 drops. Pumps the board. Adds some counter protection for creatures. Ramps and can act as removal.

Thanks for the feedback amicdeep. I like bonecrusher in a full power Jund list. But this list is so heavily reliant on counters that it doesn’t have a good spot to fill. I could see it in a lower to the ground version or maybe replacing a single bolt.
Dread Fugue could help bring the cost down to make room for another thoughtseize. But I look at discard in Jund as trying to get rid of non-creature spells since we have so much removal available. That normally leads me to Duress over any other cards. I’ve previously looked at Harsh Scrutiny in this spot but found duress to be a better card in most matchups.
Domri looks like a flexible threat. I like all of those abilities in a budget deck. More removal, more ramp, more power, more resilience. Good stuff. I could see moving lili to the sb or cutting a nissa for one.
