counter spell really doesn't work well with erayo as they cost a card an are not spells you proactivly play to flip her. and you only have 8 1 cmc spells in the deck (and more spells above 2 that at it) meaning you not flipping her till turn 7-8 ish most of the time. and without more card draw spells or removal spells for opponents threat its just not fast enough to make a real lock.

this style of deck has seen play with some success in modern but only in very specific shells

i feel like taking some input from these sources may help you game plan

the problem i can foresee with this list is your not flipping eryo until turn 4 at earliest and that's to slow for modern. the deck needs some mana neutral cantrips of some powerfully and cheap recastable spells

cards the come to mind are Manamorphose,

Mishra's Bauble, Tormod's Crypt with Repeal,

Finale of Promise. with cantrips

Memnite Ornithopter + Hurkyl's Recall Retract with Emry, Lurker of the Loch

even Faerie Impostor, Greenbelt Rampager, Glint Hawk would all help

the deck curve alot more tempo than control. i have a few suggestions for cheap power houses that would fit the list Dream Trawler, seems like a much better top end creater Realm-Cloaked Giant, may be one of the better board wipe options available Timeless Dragon, is a nother deceptivly strong card, fining a land intanst speed is always good, but also making a 4/4 from your gy later in the game Angel of Sanctions, falls under same boat but with solid removal added.
