Rampage 2.0

Casual Casual

I've had a "rampage" deck since 1996 but it has never been very good. Ever. I only play casual and my general consensus is only to use cards that I own. On a lark i decided to check online for any cards that could possibly make my Lemon Rampage deck better. This is the result.

Play:The key to this is the creature sweep you get from Trample+Lure+Rampage. You can toss a rampage creature with lure and wipe an entire army of 1/1 goblins easy enough. but thats not enough to kill a player. Thats where Varchild's War-Riders and Forbidden Orchard come into the picture. The more little creatures your opponent has, the more overall Trample Damage you're going to inflict with the Rampage mechanic. Cards like Retaliation and Beastmaster's Magemark make these cheap Rampage cards like Horrible Hordes and the tiny Elvish Berserker into lethal killing machines. I wouldn't mine some feedback on this as it's as yet still a virtual deck.

I've considered adding something like Caltrops to limit being attacked by these legions of 1/1's im giving my opponent but i don't want to clutter the deck.

Strategy:Playing the cumulitive upkeep of Varchild's War-Riders would in 4 rounds give your opponent a total of 15 1/1's . Before playing him you need to make sure you have lure and trample in your hand so that your opponent doesn't feel he needs to attack every round with the 1/1's. Aside from that it's pretty well a hack and slash offensive.

well, i didn't really check prices of cards and living planes is something astronomical. so it isn't terribly important to the deck, i just felt that it would be somewhat awesome to sweep lands with the rampage mechanic.

its possible to do a card combo using Kormus Bell + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to do the same thing but its roughly the same price overall. i replaced the two Living Planes with 2 more Horrible Hordes and just called it a day.
