Out: Sin Prodder

In: Evra, Halcyon Witness

Although I like this little devil, it's unreliable card draw; Evra looks like such a huge beating along with enabling my life swap attacks.

Just as a note, an alternative commander could be Mathas, Fiend Seeker as he can also generate decent card draw and will help to pit your opponents against each other. Additionally, this will remove the incentive that the Monarch ability gives your opponents to attack you as well as give you a bit of life gain. This change would however somewhat devalue your Treasonous Ogre. Just a thought!

Thank you for your comment Jagg3r5.

I thought about including Mathas in the 99 but his draw effect is slow, conditional, and benefits others. Marchesa provoking my opponents is almost part of the plan: it gives me a clear political choice when I get to swap my life total with my abusers.

Fair point! To that end you may wish to consider Reverse the Sands. While not as cheap as Magus of the Mirror or Axis of Mortality to cast, it does allow for you to switch totals and attack without giving away your plan or giving your opponents time to respond, where as Magus would require Lightning Greaves to be in play to achieve this. Soul Conduit can do this, but for 4 more mana.

I will definitely consider Reverse the Sands... that's exactly the kind of card I'm going for, and might make a decent substitute for Wound Reflection.

Hey Jagg3r5, I've reconsidered using Mathas; it's a fun political card. I've yanked Odric, Lunarch Marshal for it after replacing Stuffy Doll with Urabrask the Hidden.

Hey WolverineSR_71, thanks for commenting!

I'm not a fan of instant combo victories. I want to have fun toying with my opponents, while leaving the possibility for a dramatic comeback victory. Exquisite Blood synergizes very well with the life swapping mechanics in this deck, giving me more resources to continue my shenanigans. If your meta is more competitive then certainly find room for Sanguine Bond, Phyrexian Unlife + Solemnity, and/or Wound Reflection.

Ok, just curious. Overall looks like an extremely fun deck to pilot. +1
