Enchantment (1)

Some cards, like Mana Cannons or Lobber Crew, incentivize you to play multicolored cards - in this case, by throwing tons of firepower at your opponent's face. But how many multicolored cards can you possibly have? Last time I checked, if you keep playing cards, your hand is apt to run out, and then what good are you?

Let's reach way back to Planeshift for those lovely gating creatures. Horned Kavu is the star of the show here: at just two mana, he's the cheapest one around - and he's red, ensuring we have access to Mana Cannons and Lobber Crew. Just pay , let the Kavu zip straight back to your hand, and throw a bushel of damage your foe's way. Rinse and repeat as much as you can afford!

One Kavu is all you need, but you'll need other options until you draw into one. His big brother Sparkcaster is less efficient at twice the price, but he throws in a bonus point of damage for your troubles and can be made cheaper via Goblin Anarchomancer - who also triggers your multicolored-matters cards! Dropping a gating creature might not cost you any cards, but Burning-Tree Emissary goes the other route by not costing any mana - she provides as much as she costs. Manamorphose actually does both, or puts you up a mana with an Anarchomancer. Widespread Thieving can likewise double your spell output by providing an extra mana with each casting, ensuring it won't take too many turns to run your foe out of life. And when all else fails, there's no shame in closing out the game with a timely Lightning Bolt!
