This deck performed exactly as expected, in its first outing.

0-2 Superfriends

I came out swinging with Eager Construct on Turn 2 (Scry) followed by a second Eager Construct on Turn 3 (Scry).

In total I hit my Opponent for a massive 4 damage.

Turn 4 he played Declaration in Stone, naming "Eager Construct". Dastardly.

Unfortunately I did not get another Eager Construct out and lost that game.

In Game 2 I played Eager Construct on Turn 2 again (Scry).

I learnt my lesson and did not play a second Eager Construct on Turn 3.

He targeted my Eager Construct with Declaration in Stone.

Turn 4 I played my second Eager Construct (Scry) and attacked with it on Turn 5.

It was killed by my Opponent's Immolating Glare.

No other Eager Constructs came to hand.

0-2 Dwarven Vehicles

Opponent got Gearshift Ace out on Turn 2.

I got Eager Construct out on my next go. Scry.

Turn 3 my Opponent attacked with Gearshift Ace. I blocked with Eager Construct. Eager Construct died.

That was the only Eager Construct I got in hand, so I lost that game.

Game 2 I played a lot of Wastes but did not draw any Creatures.

1-2

My Opponent was severely mana and Creature screwed in Game 1.

I managed to get three Eager Constructs (Scry) on the field.

All my Opponent played were Authority of the Consuls and Always Watching.

I smacked him down one Eager Construct at a time.

In Game 2 I used an Eager Construct (Scry) to block a Bristling Hydra in the late game, but then I was overrun by Opponent Creatures.

Game 3 I used an Eager Construct to both Scry, and block a Thriving Rhino that had been pumped up to 5/6.

I did not get any other Creatures on to the field, so I lost that game and the match.

1-1 Mirror Match

For the final match it was Eager Construct vs Eager Construct.

I got out an Eager Construct (Scry) before my Opponent did and was able to get a couple of hits in.

Eventually my Opponent got out an Eager Construct (Scry), blocked mine, and they both died.

This happened three more times.

We called the Judge over at that point and asked if we could call the game a tie, as neither of us had any Win Cons left in our decks. He agreed.

I Sideboarded 15 Wastes out of my deck and put my whole Sideboard in.

Game 2 played out the same as the first, except that my Opponent got the upper hand early on.

We both kept playing Wastes in Game 3, plus a Mountain and an Island from me, until we went to turns. Neither of us got anything in hand other than Lands.

MVP of the night was Eager Construct, without a doubt. Whenever it hit the field I was able to Scry.

It was able to attack and block, like a champion.

Definitely the best part of this deck.

This is the best deck I have ever built.

Solved the format. Hidden Peregrine Drake, hidden Sinkhole, great brewer, it's like if Black Lotus was common and nobody noticed.

Eager Construct for Queen!   Prime Minister!  Governer-General!  er, Consulate Head!

//

Maybe some Spirebluff Canal or other sources in Sideboard and Saheeli Rai? Her -2 is just sooooooo good with Construct! :-)

Mirrorpool lets you copy it for more Eager Construct.

Saheeli's Artistry gives you two more Eager Constructs as well!

Soul Separator lets you bring back a dead Eager Construct.

Saheeli Rai copies Eager Construct and helps you find Eager Construct quicker.

Altered Ego lets you make a bigger Eager Construct!

+1, love this deck!

I didn't realise how much I needed this deck in my life.

Now that I've found it, I can't imagine my life without it.

+1 (I would make it +infinity if I could.)

Marvellous suggestions, clayperce and Reaxetion.

Will keep them in mind while playtesting.

So far deck has won no games in testing, but I'm sure that is only because I am only allowed four copies of Eager Construct.

Really the card should have been more like Relentless Rats. Dreadful oversight by Wizards.

Argeaux I couldn't agree more. I presented the ways to jump through hoops to get the same effect. But lets all agree, WotC is to blame here. Can we start a petition to get them to errata it in?
