Okay so the build you have is GREAT for devotion. The only thing that worries me is the Nightveil Specter because you might have a bit of trouble pulling out enough Steam Vents or Islands. The other thing is I would drop Curse of the Swine . Mostly because its an X mana coster. Not really great against aggro if its all you got. Instead, I would throw in something like Magma Jet or Dissolve for removal or scry because scry is always great. Otherwise, it looks good. +1

I'd drop the mountain count to about 2 and get the new izzet scry lands and do the rest islands. I'd also take out Retraction Helix and max out on the Mizzium Mortars or maybe 2 Lightning Strike

Where's Keranos, God of Storms ? Also, with 61 cards, you could cut the curse of the swine for some counters / Izzet Charm for versatility.

I would suggest adding Nivmagus Elemental , and if you do main board the hidden strings, being able to exile the ciphers while still pumping the blistercoils can make a very large swing pretty quickly.

Also, I would find room for 2 Mana Confluence to help with your mana base.

I can't help but recommend Mercurial Chemister . He's mana expensive, but his card draw is literally the best in standard at the moment. You would probably get more mileage out of him in your sideboard than Hypersonic Dragon , at least (he's another good card, but you don't have enough sorceries to bother.)

Nightveil Specter is a great sideboard card. 3 colored mana for a 2/3 flyer with an exile ability is by no means bad, but milling isn't your win-con. I would probably not run him unless I knew I could cast some of the exiled spells.

billmartin98 can you still cypher the card onto a creature if you exile it while it's on the stack?

Egann I like the idea of the Mercurial Chemister maybe if I am gonna play this deck multiplayer with my friends he would fit nicely. As it stands I think I'm gonna take the dragon out cause I never use him anyway. It was the flying haste I liked. With a splash of blue devotion. Instead of the Stormbreath Dragon

I wonder if you could exile the ciphered spells... Like cast it the first time, cipher, then recast because of the cipher. The card text says that when you attack you RECAST the card so it technically counts as a spell right? And although the ability doesn't resolve, you've got a beefed up Nivmagus Elemental . I might be totally wrong but whatevs...

IATEAREPUBLICAN hmm true. Wow that makes him so much better.. I gotta see if I can exile it after it's recast from doing combat damage. Sweet

You can exile the recast, that's what I meant. It also counts as cast for the blistercoil, so you get 2 creatures pumped a turn, one permanent one temporary.

I think I would just get rid of the blistercoil.

Blistercoil is a great one drop. I'd keep him where he is

I honestly think this is a pretty cool deck. I would suggest main boarding Lightning Strike in place of Mizzium Mortars because you can trow it at people's faces as well as it killing many of the same creatures that mortars kills. I feel like the deck is really lacking removal other than bounce. Not sure what to throw in though

I very much like this deck and have rking on a similiar build. I suggest making room for at minimum 2 Tidebinder Mage in the mainboard as it shuts down a lot of opposing threats in standard right now as well as maybe Stormbreath Dragon in the side/main for a big beater in late game for the cotrol match up. Another suggestion but might be a money problem is Mutavault also Mana Confluence might be usefull

Good luck and +1 from me GO IZZET

Flabbergasted it's funny I just set two tidebinders aside to possibly throw in for two weirds. Pretty much rely on the master of waves or Thassa as the win con. Tho The stormbreath would be nice. Maybe I'll try it out. And I've have some mana confluences but they are in my junk standard enchantment deck. I love it. And muravaults is always a good choice.. Maybe I'll throw some in to try. I don't play against a lot of white/blue players. It's a must that I get blue mana early tho so mutavaults might end up screwing me over.

I see what you mean about the mutavaults and with the confluence you do what you have to do there but I highly suggest not taking out any of the weirds instead maybe drop 1-2 nightveil. I know you might jump at me for saying such a thing but I feel that the the tidebinders are more relevant in a lot of ways. I'm running a lot of similiar things in my build but I'm trying out chandra over purphoros as I want to see how the PW will do also I'm using 3 thassa and no ral zarak. As for SB, I really suggest you add 2 domestication and consider kiora's dismissal
