A destitute-format deck (pauper+modern compliant)

The concept is simple: sacrifice creatures to mana ramp or card draw so you can eventually cast your Morkrut Behemoth and Silumgar Scavenger heavy hitters.

Subtle notes: Mercenary 1/1 R can pump Nested Shambler slightly for an extra creature token. I usually sacrifice Infestation Sage first to get a flyer but the Mercenary 1/1 R can also be helpful in a mid/late game. Corrupted Conviction and Village Rites are instants so you can wait until the end of the opponent turn to activate in case you need a creature for chump blocking.
