Not Fast Enough —Jan. 5, 2017

Caged Sun has proven to be pretty slow in a few occasion. Someone recommended I switch it out but I went against his wisdom.

Turns out he was right

In - Gilded Lotusfoil

Out - Caged Sun

What is your main victory condition? From your list I'd say Lab Maniac, which sinergizes greatly with Azami.

If that's the case there are 3 mandatory cards: Mind Over Matter, Intruder Alarm and Cryptic Gateway. The 1st allows you to maximize draws, allowing you to easily go through the deck and... Win. The other 2 cards allow you to abuse Azami: tap 2 wizards to out into play 1 wizard from your hand, untap them all... Rinse and repeat.

With actual build I might as well go with Talrand (can't quite remember the full name).

Other than that I'd swap an island for Riptide Laboratory.

I don't think you need Caged Sun. I had it in my build and removed because ir was overly expensive in a reactive deck. I couldn't afford tapping for 6 in one turn.

Treasure Cruise os fun but I see it as subpar when compared with Mind Over Matter.

I'm on my phone right now, making it hard to check what else to remove.

DarkRequiem This deck is meant for multiplayer, so the main early goal is to stay alive and not get focused by the whole table.

Once I get my board established I can start locking down whoever was focusing me early or make political trades and bluff about possible counterspells.

In the mid-late game I have cards that keeps me from going obsolete if my general gets locked out such as Arcanis the Omnipotent etc.

My main win condition is not so obvious. I can easily win or turn a game using many tricks and cards like Phyrexian Metamorph, Bribery, Treachery or Rite of Replication along with Cyclonic Rift and 0 mana counterspells to make sure I have a turn to swing for lethal in a 1v1 situation, or just Capsize someone to oblivion. I intentionally skipped on the Mind Over Matter since I believe it to be highly non-interactive for those around me. It's good though, I get that, and I might switch Cruise for it since Cruise doesn't do that much good for Snap or Torrential Gearhulk. I could also use a more stable win condition for when I play on the more competitive side.

The Intruder/cryptic combo is efficient, but I don't like it for the same reason I don't like Mind Over Matter.

I like the Riptide Laboratory though. I definitely need more utility lands like this.

Thank you for your feedback.
