Thought Hemorrhage

Sorcery

Name a nonland card. Target player reveals his or her hand. Thought Hemorrhage deals 3 damage to that player for each card with that name revealed this way. Search that player's graveyard, hand, and library for all cards with that name and exile them. Then that player shuffles his or her library.

Thought Hemorrhage and a lot of the Esper stuff has some sharp lines and shapes. A lot of intricate stuff, pre-Kaladeshi...

Surely Stain the Mind would be a better fit than trying to splash red just for Thought Hemorrhage.

This deck is Great for those unprepared. But what Happens when Myr Superion was exiled or something like Thought Hemorrhage was used. I would suggest an alternative Win con.

I found I found the first study for Thought Hemorrhage and used a card creation software to add it to the card. I then uploaded it as an alter for Thought Hemorrhage. If you go to the page for that card and click view alters you can see it in full. I also made an alter art for Grisly Spectacle.

It's a terrible card...there's been so many functional reprints of the same exact ability like Memoricide or Thought Hemorrhage or Surgical Extraction. Every block they have one of these and every block people think it's going to be a killer card. against that control player or whatnot. The fact is they are always too slow in reality and this looks like the worst one of the bunch. Sorry to be a wet blanket but it's just not a good card and hype is hype. You never want to let them draw, especially when you're not getting anything good out of it.

What up, young bloods. So I've got this Rakdos Eldrazi deck (not put on here yet, but I'll get to it at some point) that generally speaking does really well for me. Like kill-at-least-two-people-the-turn-Rakdos-gets-out kind of well. Soooooo because of how well it does, my playgroup has started to bring in some hate cards to keep Rakdos from going off or at least negate some of the massive life loss I'm dealing out.

Thing is, I don't like that. So I want to get rid of their threats before they even get a chance to pull them out. BR typically has some good stuff to get rid of things ( Cranial Extraction, Thought Hemorrhage, Memoricide, Slaughter Games, etc.). Getting rid of one card is fine and dandy (I know my playgroup well enough to know which cards to get rid of), but I want to get rid of multiple cards without taking up a fifth of my library with Memoricide effects.

I'm currently stuck between Nightmare Incursion (I use Urborg, so this could pretty easily get big), Sadistic Sacrament (My current frontrunner because of the ramp game I've got going on), or Bitter Ordeal. I like Bitter Ordeal a lot, but I feel like I'd have to combo it out to make it really efficient in a commander game (plus I can target each opponent once it combos out). Thing is, I'm not sure what the best combo is in Rakdos colors to make it worth a shot.

So now I ask you, dear reader. In Rakdos colors, what's the best way to get rid of multiple threats in an opponent's library? Sadistic Sacrament is looking best for me right now, but I'm open to any other ideas.

Forgot to mention Extirpate as an alternative to Surgical Extraction. Also, Slaughter Games, Memoricide, Thought Hemorrhage and/or Sadistic Sacrament

I would suggest upping Slaughter Games to four and dropping down to two Thought Hemorrhage. How are you going to rid of Force of Will when they counter your spell? That three damage is nice if you can guess what's in their hand, but in the land of blue spells, uncounterability is king.

Lobotomy is cool if you have the information. Gitaxian Probe would help but goes against your budget. Duress might serve you better than Perish the Thought.

Scytec made some really good suggestions. That Bitter Ordeal would be amazing here.
