Kozilek's Command

Kindred Instant — Eldrazi

Choose two —

  • Target player creates X 0/1 colourless Eldrazi Spawn creature tokens with "Sacrifice this creature: Add ."
  • Target player scries X, then draws a card. (Look at the top X cards of your library, then put any number of them on top or bottom of your library in any order.)
  • Exile target creature with converted mana cost/mana value X or less.
  • Exile up to X target cards from graveyards.

My Raggadragga deck uses Eldrazi Spawns and Scions and one instant I use is Kozilek's Command.

If you're animating lands, I'm pretty fond of Sylvan Awakening.

Karn, the Great Creator was used with Mycosynth Lattice before lattice got banned. Kaldra Compleat is another option, and "ugin, eye of the storms" from the upcoming dragonstorm set is just bonkers. Kozilek's Command has been seeing play, and Echoes of Eternity seems fun.

I agree that no turn 1 play slows the deck by a LOT, I've tried putting a few copies of Blisterpod into the deck, replacing Eldrazi Repurposer. It definitely wasn't a bad choise, I prefered keeping the Repurposer instead as I get more Fleshraker triggers and it's a more useful blocker/attacker. The deck relies a lot on Kozilek's Return and Ugin's Binding to catch up, Kozilek's return as a boardwipe for creatures, and the Binding for creatures but also enchantments and artefacts. They allow the deck to reset the state and catch up faster since we make a ton of Eldrazi Spawn.

I'll keep looking see if there are some cards I can remove to add some turn 1 play. (I find myself rarely casting Kozilek's Command, maybe I can start there)

I love the idea behind this, but I think what’s currently here isn’t fast enough to get the 3 copies in play before being interrupted. Without going full glass cannon, I’m not sure it’s possible to pull it off in time.

If I were to try my hand at this, I’d remove colorless and red mana sources entirely and double down on . Run mostly forests and a few islands alongside 4x Breeding Poolfoil. That will give your 4x Utopia Sprawl something guaranteed to attach to, and open up enough mana to reliably cast Quasiduplicate.

Stuff like Reverberate or Kozilek's Command don’t necessarily contribute much toward your penultimate goal, and are probably bloat that could be trimmed. Similarly, I’d stick Emrakul, the Promised End in the sideboard—if you’re able to cast it, you almost certainly could have already won with your main strategy.

Maybe I’m wrong, but it just seems like you’ll really have to race to the finish line with a build like this one rather than try to preemptively anticipate threats and plan for them. I do like the main idea behind this though.
