Ahh... I remember the day I played that combo against my brother. He picked up his cards and refused to play with me for the rest of the week. Good times!
I love this idea. I think it's really unique and fun!
Hyphenated words typically count as one word. Your parrot would only get +2/+2, unfortunately.
Have you thought about Knight of the Hokey Pokey? If you don't mind a bit of dancing, a 7/7 first strike that can prevent all damage to itself should be pretty good. Keeper of the Sacred Word gets the same buff, but costs more and doesn't as many good abilities. Still might be good enough.

How about a Knight of the Hokey Pokey??? lol possibly as a maybe board for when you're playing a casual game. You can never go wrong with having a little fun!

Whip of Erebos Reanimate recursion, I particularly like Whip because lifelink is good.
Lifeline could be good.
Mirror Entity is a beast and a knight! Cavern of Souls only if you're not on a budget. Oh and lastly Ladies' Knight and Knight of the Hokey Pokey how could you forget these CLEARLY 100 percent seriously awesome bombs! Shame!

I agree on the Leonin Skyhunter suggestion and I ordered some Knights of the Meadow grain to replace them.
Mirran Crusader is an odd one I mean I know it's good. But it competes with Silverblade Paladin for a slot. I'll get a playset and see which one I like more.
I didn't even know about Riders of Gavony. I'm definitely going to have to see if I can sideboard some for the Eldrazi menace...
