Killer Cosplay

Artifact — Equipment

When this becomes attached to a creature, choose a creature card name with a character count with an identical mana cost. That creature becomes a copy of the card with the chosen name until this equipment becomes unattached from it.

Equip (: Attach this to target creature you control. Equip only as a sorcery. This enters the battlefield unattached and stays on the battlefield if the creature this card is attached to leaves the battlefield.)

legendofa Unfortunately there's not much mythic wise that's $0.10 or less. Even less one mana options for $0.32 or less, wish Killer Cosplay was legal : /

starting to realize just how essential common effects like Fountainport Bell and Prophetic Prism are right about now

The biggest expense should probably be the Commander, you can try Kenrith, the Returned King and get set the limit to $25.99 (assuming the $0.98 listing I saw is legit).

Good luck, keep me posted!

Tokens do not have a mana cost unless the effect creating them assigns a mana cost (such as by making it a copy of an object with a mana cost). Any object without a mana cost (including lands and cards like Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar) has a mana value of 0. You'll notice Culling Ritual doesn't say anything about the mana cost of permanents, rather the mana value. A mana cost of is different from not having a mana cost, but both give a mana value of 0. Just like a mana cost of is different from a mana cost of , but both would give a mana value of 1. This is also why Culling Ritual specifies nonland, because otherwise it would destroy lands despite not having a mana cost, because the mana value is 0.

202.3a The mana value of an object with no mana cost is 0, unless that object is the back face of a transforming double-faced permanent or is a melded permanent.

Regarding nothing not being a mana cost, that is correct. Memnite shares a mana cost with Ornithopter, but Dryad Arbor does not share a mana cost with Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar since neither of them have one. I think the only cards that care about this difference are Killer Cosplay and Richard Garfield, Ph.D., neither of which are black boarder legal.

Fervent Champion and Phyrexian Dreadnought have the same CMC (now called mana value), not the same mana cost. You will not be able to use Killer Cosplay to turn Fervent Champion into Phyrexian Dreadnought, though you could turn Arcbound Worker into Phyrexian Dreadnought. To that end Hanweir, the Writhing Township  Meld  Meld has a mana value of 3, but no mana cost. Also of note is that no mana cost is not the same as mana cost , so no turning ornithopter into Hanweir, the Writhing Township  Meld  Meld

So I am thinking of making a deck around a new card from Unfinity called Killer Cosplay becuase it seems really busted and fun (I mean like Fervent Champion plus this card is a turn 2 Phyrexian Dreadnought). So I came across Hanweir, the Writhing Township  Meld  Meld and I was wondering if the cmc is 3 or 0
