Cone of Cold

Sorcery

Roll a twenty sided die. (Remember that MTG spindowns are not well weight balanced, so please roll a die that isn't an MTG spindown.)

If you roll a 1-9 | Tap all creatures your opponents control.
If you roll 10-19 | Tap all creatures your opponents control. Those creatures don't untap during their controllers' next untap steps.
If you roll a 20 | Tap all creatures your opponents control. Those creatures don't untap during their controllers' next untap steps. Until your next turn, creatures your opponents control enter the battlefield tapped.

Nice, lots of flavor in the deck. I like it :) Here's some more flavor one could add:

Should you be looking for more ideas on what to do with Hylda, you can check out my own Hylda deck. Have fun with this brew.

This looks like fun :)

Some ideas (based on my Hylda deck) that could prove useful:

  1. Bond of Discipline: taps all your opponents' stuff (thereby making Rhoda significantly stronger/tougher immediately, depending a bit on how much is on your opponents' sides of the battlefield) AND grants all your attackers lifelink.
  2. Borrowing 100,000 Arrows: if we're tapping this much stuff, why not benefit from that in other ways?
  3. Cone of Cold: another very powerful tapping spell; potentially lethal when timed right.
  4. Cryptic Command *list*: again, taps all your opponents' stuff and allows for some other benefits as well.
  5. Hands of Binding/Hidden Strings: imprint one of these on Rhoda and watch him grow.

Have fun with the deck!

Daxos of Meletis successfully flooded the board. Stoneforge Mystic got the Conjurer's Mantle, which drew about 4 soldiers. Windbrisk Heights got a Sun Titan, which recurred the Resolute Reinforcements. Jared's Ellivere of the Wild Court deck went off but I had too much hate for his board via Aerial Extortionist and card draw from Firemane Commando. Captain of the Watch added a lot of power. Azorius Chancery allowed Windbrisk Heights to reload: Cone of Cold this time ended my opponents (15 on the die roll).

Some considerations:

  • Cone of Cold: very powerful and depending on your dice-throw result, even crazier.
  • Dismiss into Dream is pretty awesome in that it outright kills stuff you're tapping.
  • Downpour: cheap tapping spell.
  • Hidden Strings: great for its cyphering ability, that allows you to cast it for free upon successfully damaging an opponent.
