I am building a deck at the moment and its says that it has cards that are banned in modern and when i check the banned list there not on it so i think the one i use is out dated can some please tell me what is banned in modern.
Both of those cards are banned in Modern because they were not printed in the Modern legal sets.

Those cards aren't banned in Modern. They're just not legal because they were never printed in a Modern-legal set.
Modern only encompasses the core sets and block sets printed from 8th Edition and up. Secondary products like Duel Decks and Commander decks don't add cards to Modern.

there is no replacement for Dark Ritual in black frankly. the closest your gonna get to a Demonic Tutor is Infernal Tutor .

So they made an account just to comment on your deck and they also happened to not know what sets are modern legal? They also happen to suggest two cards that you accepted. I just don't see the point.

To answer your question, a general mono black aggro deck in modern will run Thoughtseize , Inquisition of Kozilek , Disfigure , Liliana of the Veil , and then big creatures like Phyrexian Obliterator , Master of the Feast , Lashwrithe , Vampire Nighthawk , and Gatekeeper of Malakir .

Sorry, some of those are big creatures, some are smaller and better for controlling the board. You get the idea. Don't be an ass.
