From casual to more competitive. Seeking input

Commander Deck Help forum

So when I first started EDH I gravitated toward Sedris, the Traitor King and decided to build a deck.

Five years later and I still consider the deck my "pet deck". Recently, my meta has taken a shift toward more explosive combos, and my deck has fallen a bit short.

I am an adaptable person and have adjusted my deck accordingly, but after 5 or so years of casual play I find myself a bit lost on how I can update my deck to be more explosive (winning in a single turn), and still stay true to what my deck is trying to do.

I have added a few combos in the form of Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Zealous Conscripts, Worldgorger Dragon, Animate Dead, Dance of the Dead, and Necromancy, as well as Mirror-Mad Phantasm, Living Death, and Laboratory Maniac in order to be able to seal the game as my own if the odds are against me.

Unfortunately, a few issues I am having are:

1. Staying true to my theme while having outs in the form of combo

2. Not going to combos as a first line of offense

3. Making my combos more accessible and consistent

My playgroup as it stands is a strange hybrid of casual and competitive. My friends prefer to play the long-medium game and setting up board position, yet still having one explosive play that can seal the deal. I find myself in a weird Magic-limbo where I can't find the sweetspot and I need the community's help! Please help me find combos or synergies that can fit into this new style of play. Any help is appreciated! My deck's goal is to abuse ETB triggers with Sedris.

I'm having the same problems. And you just have to discover new combos. Here's a new one I discovered. Blasphemous Act destroying all the creatures for hopefully as little as 1 red mana then cast at the very end step of that turn when no one sees it coming, Thrilling Encore. It's just like what Grave Betrayal does minus the +1+1 counters and not turning them black and zombies. But for only a total of 6 mana Finding new explosive combos, infinite or not seems to work for me the best.
