Slight Strategy Adjustment —Dec. 30, 2019
Swapped Supreme Verdict for Sunder. The goal isn't to destroy everything but to increase mana cost. Due to the fact I already have Cyclonic Rift I don't need another field wipe. Returning all lands is a much more substantial set back comparatively, using the combos in this deck.
Swapped Pendrell Flux for Invoke Prejudice to double the cost of all creatures entering the battlefield. Most of the time I don't have a creature on the battlefield because I'm saving them for a win condition or a combo. This being said, because I don't have a creature, the opponents creatures can't match my creatures color and the price is doubled in response.
Swapped Satyr Enchanter for Enchantress's Presence. Enchantress is easier to afford, easier to defend and does the same thing.
Swapped Mana Breach for Overburden. Mana Breach is nice but Overburden has a much greater effect on creature-centric decks. Mana Breach also harms this deck when you cast enchantments or artifacts. With that being said, it'll be left in the Maybe Board in case those in my play group stop running heavy creatures.
Swapped Land Equilibrium for Ward of Bones due to the fact Ward of Bones does essentially what Land Equilibrium does and then some. And its only 2 mana more.
Swapped Lost Auramancers for Planar Bridge for testing. Lost Auramancers is in the Maybe Board until I've decided on this decision. This deck consistently ramps fast and Lost Auramancers is a fading creature that can be killed before it tutors. Planar Bridge, though expensive, is a tutor to the battlefield for 8 mana every turn and that's easily affordable mid-game.
Swapped Icy Manipulator for Meekstone. I found Icy Manipulator to be almost useless in this deck due to the fact I can't use it but once per turn, even if I have Seedborn Muse on the battlefield. My original intentions were to force creatures to tap and stay tapped or not be able to attack in the first place due to cost increases. That being said, Meekstone accomplishes this and for cheaper.
