Weekend Play —May 6, 2013
Played a few casual rounds against a Golgari deck that was running Desecration Demon (yikes) I would have won the next round, but he pulled an Essence Harvest and drained my life total by -14.
I added in Oblivion Ring, and a Sphere of Safety for some removal and defense.
Me and three friends played a couple two-headed giant rounds, and it started to click. Cathars' Crusade + Gather the Townsfolk had some nice synergy - especially with Champion of the Parish Attended Knight and Precinct Captain on the field. I used Ajani, Caller of the Pride -3 ability to give a +7/+7 Precinct Captain flying and double-strike. Ladies and gentlemen... That match was over!
Still waiting on 2x of Cathars' Crusade which will bring my enchantment total up (they potentially stack.. squee)! As well as 3x Dearly Departed.

Maybe a couple of Mikaeus, the Lunarch ? he's cheap for a mythic rare, (checked I saw 4 NM go for $6 on ebay just now.)
Budget is a lot easier with a mono-color deck, but I would definitely scrap the evolving wilds since you only have 1 type of mana source.
I would definitely do a playset of Boros Elite for a budget 1 drop instead of Warclamp Mastiff. I would drop the Silvercoat Lion and the Syndic of Tithes for sure.

AjemanCinnajob does fairly good deck tech videos and he does budget versions for those of us without money. I would definitely take the cheap rares he suggests in that video, as well as the inexpensive commons/uncommons. It's a bit old and doesn't include gatecrash cards, so keep that in mind.

I would take out the cats and go straight humans. You would also want more than just 1 Champion of the Parish and Silverblade Paladin . Then maybe one more of Odric, Master Tactician

Also you might add Intangible Virtue if you go for a more token-like approach to it. Also, Entreat the Angels isn't bad to have a couple of just in case you pull it on a miracle.

v3ranyx93 I probably won't be putting in Entreat the Angels as I don't have any currently. I may pull some out of the booster packs I have coming. Intangible Virtue sounds like a great card though!

Bonds of Faith is a great card for your deck. You have tons of humans to make it worth while.
