I'm extremely excited to see a slightly modified Deranged Hermit in modern. This new squirrel friendly card Deep Forest Hermit has reinstated my faith in the little rodents. With the combination of Astral Drift and a lot of cycling cards I have crafted a deck for modern that exemplifies my new squirrel ally and I've basically provided her with a way to never faaaaaaaaade away. This is in addition to being able to stall my opponent by potentially exiling their creatures temporarily if they become threatening. Of course, cards like Sumala Woodshaper will help me draw the cards I require and if I get Astral Drift out before her I can even use her triggered ability over and over again until I get the other creatures and enchantments I desire. Oh, and one more thing...
