While it's not the most optimum infect deck, I can appreciate a slower, more resilient infect strategy. That said, there are definitely some better cards you can run. For the purposes of this deck, those would be Phyrexian Crusader and maybe Blight Mamba (But definitely the Crusader). Other than that, you should try to fill out your playsets of Plague Stinger and Ichorclaw Myr.

Idk, +4/+4 for free is good in any infect deck, fast or slow.

It's NEVER been modern legal. Just because it showed up in the Commander pre-constructed decks and the Garruk duel deck doesn't mean it's modern legal.

Yeah, never bought either of those, that wasn't the reasoning behind my thinking it was legal, I was just unaware of it's illegality. I don't play a whole lot of modern, so I'm not aware of every card on the banned list. I was just suggesting what I believe is the best pump card in the game, as far as infect goes.

Modern = all sets 8th Edition and up. Invigorate was last "officially" printed in Mercadian Masques which was printed 4 years before 8th Edition.

Yes. The cards you should probably take out are Cystbearer and Llanowar Elves.

Well there is that, though I was thinking of replacing the Llanowar elves with a playset of birds of paradise. I would definately replace the Cystbearers for crusaders and fix the mana a little bit for the change.

No, what I mean is you don't need mana dorks when Skithiryx is your highest costing spell.

Which reminds me, you don't really need the extra Skithiryx or the Putrefax, either.

They got added in when I noticed I was having some mana troubles in the past. And yeah, I was planning on moving the Putrefax to sideboard anyway.

That might be because of running only 21 land. You should probably be running 1 or 2 more.

I think trading the Llanowar Elves for Birds of Paradise is a great idea. Fixes mana quite nicely. Maybe also trade the Golgari Guildgate s for Woodland Cemetery s if you can. Just overall better. Definately replace Cystbearer with Phyrexian Crusader . Harder to cast, but the crusader is quite a bit better. Very nice deck! Maybe simply cut Putrefax ? When you hit the top of your curve it's probably best you get something that can stay out, plus it'll get you into 61 cards, which is optimal.

lol i honestly didnt even notice it was a sorcery card, I would agree that Instant is much better.

The Guildgates, as well as the Llanowar Elves was a matter of cost rather than which was better. I just need to get access to the replacements, really.
