Raistlin Majere: planeswalker

Casual

mycojohn

I have only been playing MTG for a few months so I am very new to this. Here is one of my first attempts at deck building for just general casual play. I love the D&D Dragonlance series of books and so wanted to make a theme deck that would be for a dark mage such as Raistlin Majere.

The general thrust of my deck is to keep the opposition busy with creatures (Molten Birth spawns, []festering newt]] which can also replenish my hit points and cause damage to my opponent in conjunction with Bubbling Cauldron, Guttersnipe, Balustrade Spy for flying attack and blocking whilst deck stripping the opposition and Lobber Crew for strong blocking and draining opponents hits, whilst knocking down their hits using Chandra's Outrage, Guttersnipe and Killing Wave.

The lands are a mixture to ramp up mana for mountain and swamp spells with Evolving Wilds to pull more cards from my deck, increasing my chances of pulling the kick ass cards that I want to use.

The planeswalkers Chandra, the Firebrand and Liliana of the Dark Realms are there for extra punch, if drawn, and the [diabolic tutor]'s are there to help direct the cards that I want to draw from the deck under different circumstances.
