pie chart Omniscience Combo

Standard* Combo Ramp

I love combo decks, and I wanted to build a janky ass combo deck.

Welcome to a janky combo deck. Omniscience powered out by ramp via farseek and lotus leads to a suntitan combo style rune scarred demon.

Ramp into omniscience, cast rune scarred demon, search a demon, cast the demon, repeat until 4 demons on field, then use last demon to search for the red enchantment for haste, swing in for lethal.

Edit: may add in phyrexian metamporph and clone for added insanity.

Removed the majority of the black, sideboard black sun for best results.

Added in elvish visionary and jade mage. The mage REALLY helps ina lot of matchups. If you only want to with with the combo she gives a place to dump mana and an endless supply of chump blockers until you draw the combo. If you don't care, with the ramp in the deck she can easily get to pumping out 4-6 saprolings a turn and shes a bear in the early game by herself.I also added an elderscale wurm as a 1 of.

As for the combo, Dropped all black other than 2 swamps and added in 3 islands. Put in tree of redemption as well. Thats what I played at fnm with.

best part... ready.... 4 TIMES. I combo'd out exactly as it was supposed to 4 times at fnm. I went 1-3 in a swiss 4rnd. 4 times I went omniscience > 4x demon > fervor > swing 24.

and even when I didn't combo out I could get out omniscience and beat down with visionary, elderscale, or even hard casting a demon to tutor up an elderscale and ramp him out.

I'm gonna be honest, this deck did far far far far better than it should have. I expected I would combo out once at most and would never get to cast omniscience. I was sort of blown away and after tonight I intend to use this shell (far seek, ranger's path, lotus, and jade mage) to build worldfire and door to nothingness decks.

I've been looking to build a Omniscience deck since I saw the card. After seeing your combo above, I noticed that it was only 57 cards. I took a second look and found 3 cards that fit the theme as well as a changed that help speed the deck up.

Not sure if your interested, but here are the few changes I found to help speed up the deck.

traded 1 Tree of Redemption for Thragtusk, traded 2 Jade Mages for 2 Arbor Elf's, traded 1 Ranger's Path for Gem of Becoming, traded 1 Gilded Lotus for Stormtide Leviathan, The 3 open cards I added were Rites of Flourshing, Diabolic Revelation, and Arbor elf.

I found that the Arbor Elf's really help with early casting of Gilded Lotus as well as Ranger's Path.

The Gem of Becoming helps with getting the Islands if you can't get a Rampant Growth.

The Stormtide Leviathan helps stop opponent's attackers.

Once you ramp out the Omniscience, Diabolic Revelation is amazing since all you have to do is pay X, and then drop everything that you just tutor'd on the board.

I have ran this change several times and found it to be a little faster and more secure. I look forward to your opinion.

I'll have to give it a try this weekend :). When I built the original list it was meant as a joke deck, but it performed better than expected.

I'm not a fan of gem of becoming. Far far too slow and I would rather use traveler's amulet in that slot. since it only lets you fetch 1 of each type anyway using it for the islands alone it would be better to have the amulet. On the other hand 4 farseek and 4 ramps should make it much easier to get the islands.

I'd probably trade the stormtide leviathan for phyrexian metamorph for utility. If you draw it early it can be useful, if you don't draw it it can extend the reach of the combo. And being able to copy swords is always a bonus.

I really like rites of flourshing I'm just not certain it would be good. This deck has so many walls and the trees because it has no real defense. it ramps well but with the aggression in the format the ramp deck would die too quickly without some defense. Flourishing may provide some ramp and draw but it does that for my opponent as well and speeding them up is definitely bad for the deck. I'd look more for staff of nin since 6 isn't that bad in a ramp deck. That would let you ping whatever you want and still get the extra card.

Arbor elf I have been on the fence with for a while. He's good ramp early, but the original build had him and he ended up just throwing off the curve. Turn 1 arbor elf into turn 2 rampant/farseek left 1 mana open, and next turn there would still be 1 open after ranger's path. He speeds up the lotus enough to be valuable I Just tried it without him to see how it wwent.

I really want thragtusk in the deck. I just don't have him nor the cash to get him.

I like your ideas, please let me know how they go for you. I won't be able to test my changes for another week so I'm always interested in seeing how it does in other's hands.

oh forgot to mention the original list had 3 farseek in those slots. must hsve missed them lol. but abundant growth provides color fixing and card draw so its usually alright there

Clone or Phantasmal Image could do just as well - how does twelve demons sound?

I was thinking of that lol, but only so many slots in a 60 card deck. Metamorph is better imo because it can copy a lotus for the cost of 2 life and tapping the lotus as well as copy opposing artifacts.

I think the Farseek would be a better choice instead on the Gem, I did find a few other changes that more or less ensures victory. I traded 2 forests for 1 swamp and 1 island. replaced a wall for a grisselbrand. Once the combo goes off you use grisselbrand's ability to draw seven. I know this is risky since, like you said the isn't much defense in the deck, but it allows you to get other big creatures (I do agree that the metamorph would make a great addition) with trample, flying, or some kind of landwalk on the field just in case your opponent has fliers to block the demons since they don't have trample. And of course you would attack with him getting that life back. If the happen to have a fog or a tap down effect, you just use grissel's ability again to get chump blocker until you can swing again. This is why I chose the leviathan, it's an 8/8 that makes everything an island in addition, which makes him unblockable. Anyways, I will try adding the metamorph and seeing how that runs. As always, I look forward to your opinion and constructive critisism.

I really like the idea of adding in grisel in it.

May be a bit janky, but could always add the tracker so you can fight other creatures with griselbrand, makes the 7 lifegain quick. Even if for some reason your opponent has no creatures you can make griselbrand fight a wall fo tanglecord and it would live through the fight and net you 7 life

I do like what you have going so far. My only suggestion is since you are already running green and blue, why not consider card:Alchemist's Refuge? It allows you to omni at instant speed

I thought about the refuge but the way i see it thats another card slot. If it replaces land it stretches my mana base and if it replaces a card it slows me down, to omni at instant I would have to have the ability to produce 13 mana
