The challenge of making a Koth deck is building something that brings out the best of Koth without being overly dependant on him, a task at which I have only partially succedded. This deck should be hitting hard on turns 4-5; you use opal and myr to play Koth turn 3 and use +1; next turn you ramp with him and play Elemental Appeal kicked or Kozilek (if you've gotten two sources of ramp already). Plated Genopede + fetches would be good here, but I'm not really sure I want to spend the money; this deck is expensive as it is. Finally, I'm kind of toying around with splashing a second color of mana (black?) in my sideboard with the mana Myr and Mox Opal. I wish Terminate was still legal...
