Prerelease Sealed deck from Kaladesh! I pulled a Saheeli's Artistry as my promo (great card!) and also pulled a Noxious Gearhulk and new I had to go / artifacts. I decided to splash for Unlicensed Disintegration because that card should always be played, and also for the activated abilities of my Weldfast Monitors.

It was not a great deck by any means, at least not at first. I lost my first 2 rounds, 0-2 both times. After that, I sat down (15 minute break between Round 2 and Round 3) and got to make some serious adjustments. After I did that, the deck was much more playable. My biggest mistake was initially having too many Vehicles and too few creatures (it was technically a Control deck), and figuring out a good balance between the two was the big key to success. I also removed a couple of less relevant removal cards (2x Die Young) because it was competing for resources from my turtles and rats that I needed to crew my Vehicles later on. Finally, I took out Padeem, Consul of Innovation because it just wasn't doing what I had hoped - hexproof was only situationally relevant, and artifacts were so abundant on both sides that I never got to draw a card. All in all, this balance served me well in the last 2 rounds of the events.

The best cards in the deck that did the most work or always changed the board state in my favor were: Thriving Turtle (serious worker), Contraband Kingpin, Noxious Gearhulk, Subtle Strike (worked way harder than I expected; played as a combat trick, it was a removal spell that permanently boosted my creatures, every time), Unlicensed Disintegration, Aradara Express, and Saheeli's Artistry. Energy counters were such a good resource for crewing or pumping creatures. Vehicles were a lot of fun to crew and always did some serious damage. I didn't really get to fabricate on my side of the board, but often I would clone a fabricate card with Saheeli's Artistry and generate a Servo . Menace is a beast in this set/format (much more so than normal), with all the vehicles people are constantly trying to crew; it's basically unblockable because people don't want to trade creatures, or if they do, they have to trade 2-for-1, which is really powerful either way.

Even though I went 1-2-1, I thoroughly enjoyed playing every single card and really loved the ingenuity and design of the set. This will be a blast to draft in the future.
