BFZ update —Sept. 24, 2015
Okay BFZ has been completely spoiled! Ever since all the cards have been released Ive been brewing with what I wanted to do with this deck. At first glance looks like it lost a lot of power and I had thoughts of going Esper or even just U/W.
Instead, I'm hoping Draconic Roar will be a fine replacement for Lightning Strike especially now that Dragonlord Ojutai has been added. Radiant Flames will replace Anger of the Gods but I've main boarded it instead. This is just a theory but with Bile Blight, Drown in Sorrow, Anger of the Gods, all rotating out I think aggressive strategies will flourish. My answer to that possibility is main board Radiant Flames for all the Eldrazi Scions, Allies, and aggressive decks.
Thunderbreak Regent and Mantis Rider may be enough of an excuse to run red in and of themselves. Mantis Rider just gets better after rotation with Bile Blight, Hero's Downfall, and Lightning Strike rotating out there are almost no instant answers to the 3/3 haste flyer.
The sideboard has really changed. Its basically cut in half. The first half is built for control, Dispel, Scatter to the Winds, and Ugin. The other half of the sideboard is for aggressive strategies, Arashin Cleric and Wild Slash
