Sirenfall, I've actually considered Always Watching as a possible replacement for Tempered Steel only because they're extremely comparable. In a multiplayer game, I may end up using the copy of Always Watching since blockers are nice. Thanks for the suggestion!

Dusk/Dawn From the new set might be a decent card here. Dusk destroys everything with three or more power and you run a lot of two drops to get use of the second ability.

mrluthor, if I'm going to be 100% honest with you, I hate the new split cards with aftermath. They just are so much lower in power level than the original ones from Ravnika that I pretty much ignored them all. The case is the same for Dawn/Dusk. If were to run a boardwipe (which I probably should be doing), there are way better options out there. Thanks for the suggestion and sorry for the delay on the response.

+1 for the name + music.
Cards with Metalcraft might be a good addition in your deck, since you have plenty of artifacts. I would also suggest the Artifact Lands from Mirrodin + some tutors like Gamble or Enlightened Tutor.
I also expect that in each of your turns you play a different eurobeat song ;)

Bruxo, are you asking me to Gamble Rumble?

I would suggest Duergar Mine-Captain! He's a Dwarf so he's on theme; He can crew your creatures, and then in combat he can untap, boost all your guys, and keep crewing and boosting until you run out of mana. Everything else in this list is hilarious and awesome; I've always wanted to make a Dwarf tribal! +1 from me

EgyptianSpaceGamer, guess I hadn't checked out the Mine Captain before for real. You make great points and he is now in the deck!

What about Leave / Chance with Depala, Pilot Exemplar and Dwarven Recruiter? Draw a bunch of dwarves, that you don't necessarily want all of, and cycle the ones you don't want for fresh cards.

July 15, 2017 5:29 p.m.

AndersB2, the problem with that is that I'm pretty much just pitching dwarves to pull more dwarves. As of now, I'm happy with the card draw Depala makes and I'd rather not rely on a jank card draw.

Sorry to keep bothering you with questions, but I am curious about something. Sensei's Divining Top would be a great way to better control Depala's card draw ability, and make sure you aren't burying your best non-dwarf, non-vehicle spells. I assume that card is one you are trying to avoid in this deck though, for theme or budget reasons. If you were wanting to put the top in though, what would you consider cutting?

AndersB2, well if you're planning on making your own Initial (D)epala deck, I would suggest taking out Deflecting Palm. The card is mostly there so you can swing with the team and protect yourself from any opponent stupid enough to attack you. However, more often then not it's a better idea to spend the 2 extra mana for Depala's second ability and hopefully draw into some new gas. Sensei's Divining Top is great in every edh deck (if you're willing to spend $15), so I would probably swap it in if it weren't so expensive.

This deck looks really fun to play, and I would love to see you edit it with the new ixalan vehicles

There are a lot of new vehicles in Ixalan you might want to consider.

whatskraken the new pirate ships look pretty sweet...

The Ixalan vehicles seem much weaker. Larger crew costs, no flyers, and no effects that are super exciting.

Have you considered running Inspiring Statuary and Paradox Engine ? The ability to use vehicles to cast things seems like it could be a very useful thing here.

Arcanis_The_Oblivious, those are both good suggestions. I think I might find a way to get one or both of them in the deck.

Might have to consider Weatherlight from Dominaria.

Aside from smashing face, any possible card inclusions (that is still on the vehicle-dwarf theme) that can combo out? :)

July 27, 2018 11:22 a.m.

bonsai11943 well, if you're looking for a quick fix, try Smokestack with the card i've already got in there Assemble the Legion.

So what do you think of the new Enchanted Carriage or Seven Dwarves ?

You absolutely need a Parhelion II in here. It's basically the only way I win with my own budget Depala deck. Not only does it fly, have first strike, and have vigilance, but it makes angels that can in turn crew it on the next turn and STILL profit. It may seem like a high mana cost, but once you get it out it wrecks face (if it isn't removed).
