Breaking the Noble Format (Ban-List material?)

Made this deck to exaggerate how Affinity (and Modular) could/would break the Noble format.

I feel like this breaks the spirit just based on the price

I agree. It's supposed to be a budget format.

But Magic is always about price. Even in pauper, it's about price. If you want the best cards, you're going to have to shell out a bit.

Besides. None of these cards cost more than about $1.50 each, and most of which are under $0.75. Mox OpalMTG Card: Mox Opal is expensive, but your Noble is allowed to be pricey as all hell. That's the point. You have one sitting in your binder.

And just because it's a bit more expensive than any other decks you'd find in this format, that's doesn't mean people won't make it. EDH has spikes that combo out on the third turn. This would be the same if this ever takes off.

So don't criticize it for costing too much. I made the deck according the format guidelines as explained by the creators. If anything, I'm just a messenger.

Affinity just breaks every format really.

Standard of the Mirrodin block - it broke it.

Pauper - Broken.

Hell, even in Modern its a really ridiculous contender.

wow, this is awesome. First of all +1, gotta love breaking an ability. If i was gonna offer any criticism at all, and I'm hard pressed to find anything, it would be a little more draw. I just played this deck 5 times and four of those five was just nasty but every once in a while its gonna be to many Memnites and Etherium Sculptor but hey, if thats the only inconsistency then I'm proli just grasping at straws. This deck is sweet.
