A classic green creature deck that can hold its own against much more expensive decks. This is pure budget midrange -- play big creatures, make them bigger, draw cards, and kick ass -- but with a critical splash of red for versatility and flavour.
Key Synergies and Cards
Advocate of the Beast
+ everything >> With the exception of the rampers and a couple of utility cards (plus one special surprise guest), almost every creature in this deck is a Beast, and starting turn 3 your Advocates can get busy brushing their coats, giving them pep talks, and doing whatever else they need to do to turn them into counter-laden killing machines. Get 2 or 3 of these guys on the battlefield and watch the fur fly!
Renegade Krasis + Renegade Krasis (+
Advocate of the Beast
+ beasts) >> Evolve is frequently a trickier mechanic to make pay off than it should be, but with things like
Kalonian Tusker
in this deck it shouldn't be too difficult to trigger your krasis. The real fun though is getting multiple krases out, dropping a creature that triggers them, and watching your demoralized opponent work out the math as they evolve each other and everything else you've already buffed with your Advocates in a crushing cascade of counters.
Ghor-Clan Rampager
>> This guy deserves special mention because not only is he your go-to Trample creature, he's a Beast, which makes him the perfect target for
Advocate of the Beast
. He also has a two-mana Bloodrush, however, which makes him insanely versatile.
Ruric Thar, the Unbowed
+
Trollhide
>> Surprise! A demented two-headed 6/6 ogre berserker with vigilance and reach. Oh, and you can't remove him without losing 6 life. Oh, and he regenerates.
