Mono-Black Door to Nothingness

Casual Casual Combo Devotion Mono-Black

ninjask123

So you know how much mana you can make with Devotion?A lot.

So much, in fact, that you could, theoretically, pull off Door to Nothingness as early as turn 6.

There are a few key cards here: Blood Celebrant being the main card that allows this deck to function. It's a mana filter that doesn't need to tap to work, so you can use Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx to pump all your mana through it (at the cost of some life).

Just about every other card here is meant to help Devotion kick off, though I managed to pick most of the ones with useful abilities. See, devotion doesn't work if your cards aren't on the field, which is why Gravecrawler, Despoiler of Souls , Bloodghast, Geralf's Messanger, and the like are on board. Unlike your normal Devotion deck, Gray Merchant of Asphodel isn't designed to be a win-con- he's merely a way to stem the bleeding from shocks, damage, and overall meant to help Celebrant do its job. Same for Thrull Parasite- a little Extort now and again can be the difference between losing a game and opening a gate.

Finally, you have Liliana of the Dark Realms, which is, of course, meant to help get all the land you need.
