Creature — Cat Spirit

When this deals combat damage to a player, draw a card.

Disturb (You may cast this from your graveyard transformed for this card's disturb cost.)

I 100% agree on Iymrith, Desert Doom I've been meaning to pick up a copy for a while now because there's so much going on with this card and it all adds up to awesome. Really, I just like combat damage linked to draw because as much as it can get out of hand, it always feels earned. You had to set up, get your things on the board, wait one turn, and then you reap the benefits. It's not like Mystic Remora or Rhystic Study because everyone at the table can see it coming, and maybe they don't get the chance to stop it, but having a turn cycle and having to do combat damage to an opponent make these kind of cards feel good when you get them to go off. Iymrith, Mischievous Catgeist  Flip and things like that are draw and they are strong, but I've played a lot of them in one deck and have never had opponents groan at it like they do when someone plays rhystic.

But to add one, a card I've always loved is Soldevi Adnate because I really like cards that can get you back mana. It's not ramp as much as it is a step ladder to get you to something you really want on the turn you really want it, and I always felt that was way more fair than like powering out tron or something.

DrukenReaps Best of luck with the Olivia deck : ) I could see it being fun and fast, and it's a really swingy card. Definitely one that could start swinging early and hit hard late.

And yep, the pony is very fun. My main idea was to use Rarity for the B-side ability of protection rather than mainly the cost reducer part. Giving a Mischievous Catgeist  Flip evasion with a Reconnaissance Mission or Curious Obsession out is like a repeatable 1 mana draw 2. Or you can use protection to block removal on a biggie like phyrexian dreadnaught or save it for blocks to make Alaborn Zealot into an absolute menace.

One of my favorite pony tricks, and it's a little convoluted, but it's to get Rarity or Mother of Runes to give evasion to Taranika, Akroan Veteran who attacks with Daring Thief and it not only protects the thief but instantly untaps it for pre combat ridiculousness. No one ever expects Daring Thief to be a problem that they need to address : )

Yes, the Mischievous Catgeist  Flip should go - I think in my Historic version I replaced it with another Opt and a third Surge Mare, so I should actually remove it here, probably.

Glacial Fortress is great - any dual lands’ll help if you have them!

Best of luck dude, please feel free to ask strategy questions and the like - I’ll update the description with some comments on it.

Corrosive_Cat Oh wow that a very nice option as well! I think for this event I'll run it as intended by yourself and see how it goes. I do have access to Glacial Fortress and Bident of Thassa. What would you replace for the bident? Maybe the Mischievous Catgeist  Flip?
