This can be a centralised place where most of the discussion around Commander 2015 spoilers takes place.

So here we go:
Another year of commander precons and another year of excitement. What are you looking forward to? What do you hope for? What would you really dislike?

Technically, it's new. In reality, it's a more expensive cryptic command that's not as versatile. It's both, and it's mediocre. Happy?

Mathematically speaking, mystic confluence is more versatile than cryptic command. Mystic confluence can be used 10 different ways, but Cryptic command can only be used 6 different ways. But in a practical setting, cryptic command is more versatile in a sense it has more abilities to choose from rather than more combinations of abilities.

I don't think anyone is saying that Mystic Confluence is better than Cryptic Command. That's just not true. But it is true that Mystic Confluence can do quite a bit to bring you back from a crushing board state.

Harashiohorn I quote this from Maro's Blogatog.
"A ton of people are really liking the new commander decks, and I love the new cards, but again WotC missed out on an opportunity to reprint cards and lands that need reprints for supply alone, not even value, there are many other lands that could have been put in the decks. Not to mention the decks are pretty slow straight out of box."
Once again, the Commander decks are about making a good entry level Commander product and not about maximizing reprints.
Now, I agree with you. EDH decks should also contain staples for those decks. Which they did, you're just discrediting them. Karmic Justice, Phyrexian Arena, Sol Ring and Lightning Greaves are reprints just in the first deck, not to mention the new cards that come out of these decks- new cards which will likely become staples or have high value in other formats (for trading).
Are these EDH decks premade for a competitive game? No, they're meant as a starting point and as a set to print some new cards for EDH. They also did their jobs really well. If WotC wanted to make a product for reprinting EDH cards in need of reprints, then they would. Don't forget that a good EDH deck is only about as expensive as a meta standard deck.

I like the red-white deck.
Even tho most of it's cards are bulk, you'll get an Aggro-commander, hitting turn2 for 6 commander damage in the face with some combos.
Also, you'll get a bunch of angels, and furthermore some Giant tribal material (yes, the deck is suposed to feature the giant tribal somehow), which is kind of an unusal tribal that I didn't think of before, but it sounds very fun. Gonna either build the deck as Aggro-Commander swinging for the 21 commander damage turn 3 or 4, or some kind of vorthos giant tribal thing.

Btw, U/R with Arjun is going to be my next deck online. I'll leave it to my lil' brother on paper, and play B/W instead (there's quite some funny things to do with it...).

I agree. The precon commander decks should never just be about reprinting the staples. It should be about creating a viable deck for new players. If the deck they come up with happens to work with some of the edh staples, perfect. If you're just in it for reprints, you're missing the point.

I wonder how successful commander would be if they sold it as a pack release set, rather than as deck release. Maybe both?A limited pack release done Modern Masters style would be kind of cool.$10 per pack, I might bite.
There is a lot of stuff I would like, but I can't justify paying $30 to get a Command Beacon, or Thief of Blood. Just have to find someone willing to trade, I guess.

Daeyel1 - That's kindof what they're doing on MTGO with the Legendary Cube. But for paper I think this is the best way, because the biggest hurdle to getting into Commander is the deck itself. 100 cards is a lot for a first time player. And being able to be handed an entire deck, for $35, is a huge boon.

Now that the whole set is spoiled I'm just waiting on Pathbreaker Ibex, Arachnogenesis, AEthersnatch and Bloodspore Thrinax to get added to TO so I can actually make my Ezuri deck public.

Does anyone know when TappedOut might update its database with the C15 card's? The card image gallery has been released by WoC, but I don't know when to expect an update here for those cards. Thanks!

Patience. First Femme_Fatale has to coax the cards out of their hiding places, and capture them with Pokeballs. Then she flattens them and scans their essence into the database.
(for reals though, it takes a while. Just be patient)

I added half of the cards yesterday. To demonstrate how long this takes, it took me 15 hours of straight working to get all the images, crop them, save them and categorize them (that was friday). Yesterday, I spent about 6 hours adding half of the cards, and I should be doing the other half today.
Then you have to wait for someone to accept all those submissions into the database.
After that, I go through and I fix all the botched up submissions other people put in.
In short, an entire set could take anywhere from 30-50 hours of work on just my end, you will be waiting double to triple that amount of time.

It looks like the first batch of cards got accepted in the database. So this means every card from A to L is in the database. Skyfolk, this means that everything but the Goat is in the database.

one annoying thing: when I go to the advanced search, to search for decks with the commander Ezuri, Claw of Progress, if does not show up as a possible option when i enter ezuri.

This set has some very nice reprints, but far too few of them have new artwork; why is that? Can WotC not afford to pay for new artwork? While I am asking this question, how many cards in this set have new artwork, anyway? Has anyone made a list of cards in this set that have new artwork?

I tried to add a few of the new cards to a deck, and T/O won't accept them. Meanwhile, I think I figured out the missing card: It's Arjun.

So Bloodspore Thrinax, Arachnogenesis and AEthersnatch are either still not added or spelled wrong, because I still can't add them to my deck, despite other cards like Blade of Selves and Command beacon working. Just putting that out there.

The C15 set is completely botched. It happens whenever a new set is released as the set page itself never properly displays all the cards, making it near impossible to fix the set properly for numerous weeks.

I didn't say they weren't strong, or new, or innovative. I said they weren't exciting. To me. I don't see how this is becoming an issue.
