Selesnya sideboard help

Modern Deck Help forum

Hi all -

Looking for some sideboard suggestions for my G/W deck. I've been working on this deck for a few months now and plan on using it to compete at my first ever Grand Prix this April in Hartford (woohoo!) so I would like to get it fully completed soon so I can begin play-testing.

I'd like to think my initial 60 cards are collectively strong but if you think my main deck could be tweaked I'm always open to any suggestion as well.

I would recommend Stony Silence as it is awesome against affinity, tron, ect. Rest in Peace is great against most graveyard strategists also

I a co-sign with above. My go to Selesnya hate cards are Rest in Peace, Stony Silence, & Suppression Field (planeswalkers, fetches, ScOoze, land destruction, manlands). Some other good choices are Timely Reinforcements, Wrath of God, and Mana Tithe.

Oblivion Ring is a good catch all. I'm a fan of a MB Soul Tithe as well for the same reason.

Marrow Shards can cause blow outs against Goblins does quite well against Tokens, Snapcaster, & Bob.

Ray of Revelation is a really good one for removal, Also Qasali Pridemage.Qasali Ambusher is good in aggro decks. Tormod's Crypt against delve and returned decks.

Whoops, should've looked at your deck first (Which is awesome by the way). I think Dryad Militant coming out on turn 1 with any land, plus it screws with burn decks and decks that use graveyard mechanics, plus it's a 2/1. So there's that.

I think Blind Obedience would work well in the deck because your persist creatures will be doubly effective if your opponents can't block right away. Plus then you can use any "mana leftovers" for extra damage and life gain. Also it kills Aggro decks.

Definitely agree with the above suggestion of Stony Silence.

I prefer Banisher Priest to Oblivion Ring. OBlivion ring can handle non creatures, which is nice, but I like the creature bonus.

Oh yeah, also Martial Coup would be tons of fun with your persist creatures.
