That's a fair opinion, but you don't need much LD to really hurt your opponent. On average, Ponza plays out like this:
T1: Forest, Arbor Elf/Utopia Sprawl/Birds of Paradise
T2: Red source (if you don't already have one), Stone Rain/Blood Moon
T3: Land, Mwonvuli Acid-Moss
T4+: One more Mana source, Inferno Titan
Think about the average hand you keep, and how many lands it has (probably ~3),and then think how devastating it would be to lose all of them the same turn you play them.
You don't necessarily need to keep your opponent totally land less, you just need to keep them from playing anything impactful.

Quinnagin27 take a look at Restore Balance decks. Kind of a tounge in cheek land destruction deck.

I've been working on a mono-red land destruction strategy. My ideal version of the deck is a little too pricey (see Fulminator Mage, Blood Moon and Surgical Extraction, but at the moment the budget version seems to be doing just fine. The lock-down mechanic is an old trick from my Ice Age days, where I use Orcish Spy and Millstone to filter the land (and whatever else) from my opponent's draw. Its got some other tricks in there too, but I'm always looking for outside thoughts. Check it out:

Straight forward "Destroy Target Land" does not work on my experience. There are other ways though...
Turn their lands into Artifacts and destroy target artifact
https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/land-artifact-destruction-1/
Turn their lands into Islands and Choke or Boil
https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/youre-blue/
Give their lands a color and destroy Target White/Black Permanent
https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/youre-playing-black/
these all work better then the regular approach for me.

Quinnagin27,
I'm with Epidilius ... if you're looking for an LD strategy that's competitive enough to hang on the top tables with Jund, Ponza is (IMO) your only option.
Between 4x Stone Rain and 3-4x Molten Rain (not to mention 4x Blood Moon and 2-3x Trinisphere for additional Mana denial), the deck has plenty of LD. You can add more (e.g., Mwonvuli Acid-Moss and/or Fulminator Mage), if your meta allows, but I would not generally recommend that ... LD is a GREAT tempo play, but it's not a win-con.
Andrew Wolber's list is the current "best deck", and it's hard to wrong with that as a starting point. I can also recommend the PonzaMTG subreddit and our Ponza.dec (Deckbuilding Primer) here on T/O.
Good luck (and good skill) with whatever you decide!
