Bad deck names
General forum

So I was watching some old Magic TV Top 8's and one of them was bad deck names. top 8 worst deck names They listed off some pretty sweet ones but there are a few more out there that I feel like could have made the list, and I want to know what you think.
The basic idea behind this is deck names of known decks that either don't tell you anything, don't make sense, are named after cards that aren't in the deck (I.E Solidarity), or for what ever reason you think the deck name is bad. For this the format doesn't really matter so any recognizable deck in any format, form any time period with a bad name is what I want to know.

Dead Guy Ale. I only recently learned it was the general term for a Modern/Legacy B/W Midrange deck. If someone knows why it is called this please explain.

It was a "Rogue Brew" featuring zombies. "Rogue" is a brewery with an ale called "Dead guy ale." Zombies made it thematic. I also think there was something like a team name called "the dead guys" or something including the player who created the deck, but I'm not sure on that last part.
Basically it's a beer joke

Where does the term Tinfins come from? And what makes it different to regular reanimator?

Every combo deck ever. For some reason, combo decks have to be named after breakfast cereals. What does the cereal Cheerios have to do with anything the magic deck does?
(Cheerios plays a number of small Kobolds or other creatures that cost zero and combines that with Glimpse of Nature and any storm card to win.)

The deck was called cheerios because all the cards had cmc ... so all the 0's looked like cheerios.
Tinfins comes from a movie or a tv show or something. I've been told many times but just can't remember because I haven't seen the show. It has something to do with Griselbrand's name sound like grizz or something.

branston567 Tinfins is different from "regular" reanimate because it wants to win turn 1.
It goes something like: Underground Sea - > Dark Ritual -> Thoughtseize your Griselbrand -> Goryo's Vengeance to get Griselbrand into play -> draw 14 cards -> Lotus Petal -> Children of Korlis -> sac children to get 14 life -> draw 14 cards -> Lotus Petal -> Lotus Petal -> Mox Diamond -> Thoughtseize your Emrakul, the Aeons Torn -> Goryo's Vengeance to get Emrakul, the Aeons Torn into play then swing for 22 damage turn 1..

I had to look it up myself; I've only heard the name. It was a blue Donate + Illusions of Grandeur deck.

Tin fins is a reference to Sealab 2021. There was a restaurant on the show in one episode called grizzlebees, and the name of the episode was called Tin Fins.
The story goes that Chris Pikula, was drinking the beer when he came up with the deck and so it got the name.
Bomberman is a name I always thought was pretty funny but it has the same problem a lot of deck names do in that it doesn't tell you a thing about the deck.

Pft, why do they call the deck burn? It doesn't even play Burning Cinder Fury of Crimson Chaos Fire; the namesake card.
