Need help. Thinking of building a Naya Zoo deck thats fairly budget for modern. Of course, over time it may loose it's 'budget' status, but for now, any must have cards that aren't heaps expensive i should consider?

Wild Nacatl definitely, as well as Kird Ape , Loam Lion and the sunblade elf from M15

Personally, I would go a sort of Domain route with Tribal Flames , Wild Nacatl , and Kird Ape . Nylea's Presence makes this super easy to achieve on a budget as well, and your basic fetches like Evolving Wilds are super cheap.

Of course, this will end up with like a $50 deck, so if your budget is higher than that, go for what you can.

Exactly how "budget"? Cost limit per card?

Fleecemane Lion is under $2 each. Loxodon Smiter is under $1.

  • BUDGET (< $0.50):

Ajani's Chosen if you've got lots of white.

Who doesn't like Ghor-Clan Rampager in the R/G colors?

Kalonian Tusker is a pretty solid early drop if you've got the early greens.

  • SUPER budget (< $0.10):

Battering Krasis can be fun for the growth and trample being a fragile, super-budget, version of Lotleth Troll .

Briarpack Alpha gives you a combat instant and a wolf.

Brushstrider

Deadly Recluse gives a pretty solid early defense.

Bestowers like Nylea's Emissary (trample) and Observant Alseid (vigilance), Leafcrown Dryad (reach), and Nyxborn Wolf (damage buff) can help give you what you need when your creatures can't.

Rubblebelt Maaka and Slaughterhorn give you swing punch.

Skarrg Goliath is OK if you've got tons of ramp and some protection like Ranger's Guile in case it gets targeted for destroy spells.

Trained Caracal is a decent 1-drop with lifelink, like Hopeful Eidolon , sets up an early chump block.

Whoops, I didn't see the Modern... my bad. But there's a couple Standard dudes.

Wild Nacatl like everyone suggested is good, and the first couple guys I said, the Smiter and Lion.
