Some Play Testing Thoughts.. —Dec. 19, 2015

Today while playing with my friends, I realized that I almost never use Skyscribing. My roommate (who has a larger knowledge of cards then I) suggested using Standstill. I am more then likely going to swap in some Standstill.

Jushi Apprentice  ^Flip seems to work really well in this deck but I haven't had a chance to actually use his ability. I am planning on adding a 2nd Jushi Apprentice  ^Flip. I should figure out a card to swap out. I am considering reducing Increasing Vengeance to 2 cards since I don't use the flashback ability often. It does diversify my copy spells in order to make sure I have options in playing out my combos.

Mind Unbound seemed like a good idea at first but it's mana cost just does not make it all that useful compared to any of my draw artifacts. In their place I am considering on adding another Howling Mine and another Otherworld Atlas since that seems to have more use then the Temple Bell but I think having both of those will be more helpful, I believe, then having a playset of one of them.

-Or I could take out Mind Unbound for a Jushi Apprentice  ^Flip and a Plagiarize. I have yet to use Plagiarize but it's potential in this deck can be almost deadly.-

I also need to change up my mana base somewhat. When I have the money, I plan on adding some better duel lands in order to speed up the deck. Having to wait a turn to use a land really slows down this deck sometimes. I am thinking of switching it to 4x Sulfur Falls, 4x Reliquary Tower, 4x Temple of Epiphany (I feel like this can help a bad hand or help give the deck some gas if I don't get any momentum in the first few turns), 3x Mountain, 3x Island, and 2x Steam Vents. I am also of thinking of making the amount of lands to 22. I am not sure what kind of effect that might have on this deck.

Switched out Mind Unbound for 2 more Ebony Owl Netsuke until I can get Standstill
