War of the Spark / Modern Horizons —June 19, 2019

Looking as some possible major overhauls. There seem to be a lot of possibilities for this deck right now.

Bedevil is a versatile removal spell that currently fills the same slot as Dreadbore, maybe Kolaghan's Command.

Davriel, Rogue Shadowmage makes 12-rack a possibility and grants an additional source of consistent discard. Especially in a more aggressive build of the deck like this, this feels like a good inclusion.

Lightning Skelemental makes a bridgeless variant feel more possible. Alternately, it could make a powerful sideboard variant replacing Blightning (or even Ensnaring Bridge), under the assumption they've sided out creature removal.

Defile might work better in a mono-black deck, but most of the time it's going to get the job done, possibly better than Fatal Push in a lot of circumstances. Force of Despair seems like it could be a good sweeper, especially in the sideboard against affinity.

The biggest opportunity, however, seems to be the inclusion of snow-lands. Dead of Winter is super powerful and only has one black in its mana cost. Skred is playable in the colors, although I still feel like Defile works better. I'm wondering if it is worth retooling my mana-base to include enough snow-lands for it to be worth it.

NO Lightning Bolt! J/K. +1 I have a Rackdos land destruction that I just turned into an 8 Rack since it need more consistency. I do like the build!

I used to run Lightning Bolt, but it shockingly didn't seem to do enough. I'll have to check out your deck if it's on TappedOut. Always interested in seeing more neat brews.

Quick note: This is currently about a year out of date. I'm currently deckcycling and doing some consideration to account for new cards and/or metagame shift.

Might shift a Rakdos Charm or Kolaghan's Command to main board to account for Chalice of the Void in UW Control and Hollow One.
