I think so. Volrath's Laboratory lets you choose the creature type, while Soul Foundry (though it makes creature tokens) makes copies of a 'random' creature. My reasoning for including the Laboratory is that it cares about creature types, and while this does not necessarily make it good in a tribal deck, it fits the theme of being tribal-relevant. Foundry has nothing to do with creature type. This does not mean it would not be good in a tribal deck, just that it does not need to be in a tribal deck to justify its inclusion as it is a powerful token maker.

While I see where you are coming from, I do not believe that Laboratory being on the list necessitates Foundry being there as well.

I encourage you to convince me otherwise should you so desire. Being wrong has been and always will be the highlight of my day.

Well, for those of us that use this resource when building our tribal decks, it would be nice to see cards that pump any chosen tribe, draw based on a chosen tribe, make tokens based on a certain tribe, etc., which Soul Foundry and other effects like it are very good at doing.

Have you considered the "anthem" effect cards? like Gaea's Anthem, Always Watching , or even Honor of the PureI have become reliant on these enchantments in most of my odd tribal decks. Lords are very important for aggressive tribal decks IMO. I would recommend somewhere between 10-12 lord\anthem effects in a standard 60 card deck.

Mastias - I had not considered adding "anthem" cards. However, while they may work in a tribal deck, they do not fit the theme of this list. In your example of an aggressive tribal deck, the reason one would include anthems would be to make one's creatures stronger, but at the cost of running fewer creatures. The most powerful thing about a lord is not that it just pumps the rest of the team but that it is also a threat. Anthems may be good, but they are similar to Auras, ie they do nothing on their own.

Curious as to why you're putting in multiple Cavern of Souls and Mutavaults. They're not basics, making it not legal play.

While it appears like a singleton format decklist, it is actually a deckbuilding resource for tribal decks. I got bored about two years ago and made it an almost functioning 'deck' so I could durdle around in the playtester.

Not sure if this counts. Xenograft is in the description but not the list.

filthyc4sual - It's in the weird sideboard. Since this resource is meant to build tribal decks, one would expect the creatures involved to already be the relevant creature type.

Thanks for the list +1. I'm not sure about Riptide Shapeshifter, since it goes better in non-tribal decks as a specific tutor, but overall very helpful.

Oh boy, with the new commander decks this list is going to get quite longer.

asidos - Riptide Shapeshifter names a creature type, so it fits the theme of this list, but yeah, the best application is as a creature tutor.

hfvalenz - I've been adding the cards that work for any tribe as they are spoiled. So far, only 7 cards have been added. I expect it to only go up to 12 or so.

Elvish Soultiller + Verdant Succession + a sacrifice outlet is loads of fun. Just mind the shuffles lol.

Do you think that Mistform Wakecaster could fit into this list? I used to run it in an old Peer Pressure deck of mine.

Panharmonicon does not work with abilities that are worded "As [cardname] enters the battlefield."
