kinda biggie update —March 8, 2017

removed Heroic Intervention for Ghostway: Ghostway or Eerie Interlude is actually better, because it also dodges all kinds of bounce effects

removed Rubblehulk for Mortify: Rubblehulk was only a one-time pump, and more removal is needed in the deck because some creatures can totally stop you from attacking

removed Puffer Extract for Sylvan Reclamation: again some more removal for problematic artifacts and enchantments, and Puffer extract did not do much. It is expensive with a huge downsight. Also Sylvan Reclamation can give us mana-fixing, which is super-sweet!

removed Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder for Tana, the Bloodsower: I actually play with Tana now! Initially I did so because I did not have Bruse, but after playing some games I think Tana might fit better. One issue with Bruse is that he has to attack, and he is 3 damage, so people can kill him easily because he is not unblockable! And casting him in the same turn as morphing up a creature is expensive as hell! Tana instead, we can attack with every turn and gain some saproling tokens that can serve as blockers or also do some serious damage together with double or quatruple damage sources. We can also pump Tana to get more tokens. She just seems to be a very nice utility inclusion if we can't go all-out. I will probably still try out old Bruse somewhere in the future, if I get my hands on him, but I plan to get the deck anyways.

removed Skirk Alarmist for Thelonite Hermit: Added the hermit now because we added Tana, an obvious synergy. The Alarmist was not that useful, killing your creature is actually kinda hurtful as you have an empty board afterwards.

removed Courser of Kruphix for Zhur-Taa Druid: The Courser was nice but it did less work than I liked. The Druid instead is a nice mana-source and it deals 1 damage to each opponent everytime you tap him, this adds up nicely, especially if you have a Rath out :P

Also after playing more and more rounds with it, I think this deck has found a dearest place in my heart. It is superfun to play, and has some really spicy flavour and interactions with other players. It will never be a tier 1 deck obviously, but it is so much fun to joke around with it and just taking out one player with a 4-damage morphed up creature feels fucking great, even if you don't win the game with it.
