Low Mana Cost Walls. Based on a deck by ratmania who built a deck around High Alert and 'walls'. This theme was rather popular a few rotations ago, but seems to have been forgotten for a while. The aim is to have a handful of low-cmc creatures with High Alert on the field. This immediately transforms a Riptide Turtle from a 0/5 defender into a 5/5 attacker. Add a Glaring Aegis for a 8/8 basher.

for Riptide Turtle+Glaring Aegis, or for Concordia Pegasus+Glaring Aegis gets you powerful creatures onto the field cheaply. What I found when this deck was last commonly played is that High Alert was too easily countered. This deck really needs Dovin's Veto and Keep Safe just to protect High Alert (everything else is expendable).
