Hey when season of growth is illegal, maybe Guardian project is an alternative? ;)

I’m not fully sold on Guardian Project because of the cost but considering the lack of better draw engines, I guess it might be worth a shot. Putting it on my maybeboard for the meantime. Thanks!

How's that Aven Warcraft in the main deck working out? Mine is in the command zone, and it's doing great work there.

It's been working great. I still prefer TD since my deck tries to get kills really early in the game. Aven Warcraft is great later on in the game when I need the evasion it gives to deliver the finishing touches.

This deck combines my favourite thing about Infect decks and my favourite thing about big butt decks; the spontaneity. Casting an Aegis of the Heavens on an unblocked Infect creature while Huatli is out? That's EVIL. I love it. Because we don't have access to cards like Tainted Strike to add more poisonous combat tricks, I think it's important that we focus on going wide to ensure some of our creatures are unblocked. Carrion Call and Phyrexian Swarmlord are good examples. (The Swarmlord works great in multiplayer games!) Flyers are great for this too; I see you're already running Inkmoth Nexus , which is perfect for that.

I really don't think you should be running Scale Up , by the way. Huatli's ability makes Scale Up turn creatures into (basically) 4/4's, which isn't nearly as good as an Aegis of the Heavens or something similar.

Thanks! Interesting suggestions. Phyrexian Swarmlord seems like something that would work well in the deck. As for Scale Up, it’s mainly there to allow for a turn 2 or turn 3 kill (with something like Might of Old Krosa or Groundswell). I try not to rely too much on Huatli but I do see your point. I’ll probably keep it until I find a better pump spell to replace it with.

Mother of Runes seems like a strict upgrade, but why not both?!

Also I just really like Putrefax , and this is certainly an excuse to play the card.

Sweet, sweet deck! Worth noting that Tower Defense doesn't target, but it seems spicy nonetheless.

Thanks! I was actually thinking of switching to Apostle’s Blessing to give my creatures better protection/evasion and since it hasbetter synergy with cards like Wild Defiance and Season of Growth. Thoughts?

I actually reeeally like Tower Defense - it's such a massive spell in this deck! not a lot of oathbreakers can say that their signature spell gets its mana's worth on the third cast, but this combo has huge mileage.

True. It works really well in the games i’ve played. Especially if i’m able to go wide. The deck has a tendency to stall after killing a person or two though. I’m not sure if I need more draw engines or evasion since I often find myself in a situation wherein getting an attacker through would make the difference between winning and losing.

Well, what's in your meta? What do you need to be prepared to fight?

That being said, solid includes in general include Abbey Matron , Brightling , Ensouled Scimitar (probably too slow but hey, +5/5 is wicked), if you're up against someone going wide, Give No Ground could be good, Honor Guard is really not bad, Might of Oaks is wicked, Ornamental Courage is Giant Growth with a free untap, Shape the Sands is super Giant Growth, Shield Mate is a solid bluff, Steady Aim is super Titanic Growth , Thornling , and Abzan Beastmaster ?

Sorry for the late reply. Those are very interesting suggestions. I especially like some of the buffs but I am having a hard time trimming the deck. See anything in the current list that sticks out?
