Stoneforge Masterwork just isn't working well enough to keep. I'm thinking about Zulaport Cutthroat in here.

Went 3-2 at FNM. Had a tough time with a Black control hand hate deck. Close matches again mono-red prowess rally and R/B prowess.

Hey mate, I run a similar style deck, what have you found works well so far? Have you had a chance to test Retreat to Emeria? I have been running two, but had mixed results. The ally tokens haven't really come at the best time, which would be when I've had a Kalastria Healer and Zulaport Cutthroat on the field. Although did use the +1 ability to decent effect with a few other creatures out to attack with.

Dee855 I have tested with retreat. It's ok I guess but I keep it SB if I run into board wipe. I found the +1/+1 wasn't the right choice very often when I did use it.

I said it before and I'll say it again Zulaport Cutthroat a 4of must
March 7, 2016 2:43 p.m.
freakangel I know you said 4 but I could only find room for 3. Thanks and throw me a +1 if you don't mind

I would swap the two Remorseless Punishment for 1 more Kalastria Healer and 1 more Zulaport Cutthroat. There just isn't enough removal or discard to make this thing do what you want at a given time. Prowess decks could suffer from lack of creatures and pouring out hands in the first few turns. But that would make it SB. I just don't think it develops enough advantage in this deck. And the Healer and Cutthroat are both definitely 4-ofs.

I would go something like...
3x Bloodbond Vampire3x Cliffhaven Vampire2x Drana, Liberator of Malakir3x Drana's Emissary4x Kalastria Healer2x Lantern Scout4x Zulaport Cutthroat2x Oath of Gideon2x Silkwrap1x Stasis Snare2x Duress2x March from the Tomb2x Ruinous Path3x Captain's Claws1x Gideon, Ally of Zendikar
Then your land base and SB. Which I would drop 3rd Lantern Scout for 3rd Cliffhaven Vampire, and cut the 2 Retreats from SB to add the 3rd Lantern Scout and 2 Remorseless Punishment if you want. I would also do away with everything you have in "Maybeboard" none of it is huge on value.

I've made most of those adjustments Nick.lott & freakangel Thanks a million. I'm skipping the Silkwrap because I don't have any and they rotate in a few weeks.

No problem at all. I really like the deck. The only reason I'm not running Bloodbond Vampire is because Im running CoCo's in mine, along with Cliffhaven Vampire, adding another 4 drop would make for some clunky draws, I fear. Otherwise, I would be. Mine has performed extremely well, and it can win out of nowhere. Don't be afraid to chump block recklessly with Zulaport and Kalastria. You're optimal March from the Tomb would be hitting 2 Kalastria and 2 Zulaport, with a Cliffhaven Vampire in play. That's 16 damage, and gain 8. Which is insane, plus 8 counters on Bloodbond.Anyway, yours and mine differs, but they run similar. I like your brew, and the deck works, its really powerful. I kill GR ramp, Abzan Displacer, monoblack control, and even rally. I would suggest Infinite Obliteration for sideboard. I bring it in all the time, for Ulamog, Nantuko Husk, Reflector Mage, Zulaport Cutthroat, etc. Nice deck though man.

+1 for Allies and Drana, Liberator of Malakir. This card is supper bullish, buy them up if you can!!
I run another version of the Ally token thing, check it out, and let me know what you think. It's sort of a slightly aggro but, more mid-rangy kind of thing that just tries to wait until I have several token producers onboard and then drop the Tajuru Warcaller, trigger all my token production (usually by dropping a fetch, making a 2/2 Knight and swinging in with 2-3 Captain's Claws. Out of nowhere I'm draining 6/Kalastria Healer and buffing each creature for ~+12/+12 and if I have a Lantern Scout involved I can deal an effective 120 damage.

So, in my experience if token production is key to your win-con, and I think it is here, you have to go all in! That means just about 4-ofs for anything that makes Ally tokens at a reasonable cost. There are a number of ways to make tokens and reap the ETB triggers. Now, my deck is currently 4 colors and I know fetches will rotate out soon but, even though everyone's mana bases are going to slow way down, I still think there are viable mana-fixing options.
Not sure what your budget constraints are but you can't have too many Gideon, Ally of Zendikars. Like I said if your win-con relies on token production I think you have to main board 2-3 Retreat to Emerias. Get rid of Retreat to Hagra unless you have fetches or some sort of ramp ability, it's not really helping you out. If it triggered on Ally ETB then totally different story.
It looks like you have 7 mainboard creature removal cards, 4 of which are instants and then 2 more in the side. I don't know what your meta looks like but I think that's kind of thin. I struggle with this myself as I also have 7 removal cards main but I have 4 more in the side and still I think I could use more. Especially if you plan is to just sit there and play defense and make tokens.
Be on the lookout for Anguished Unmaking
Good luck at your FNMs man.

PG7m thanks for the tips. Much appreciated. I'd love to have more Gideons in here but they are expensive and nobody wants to trade them. As far as your other recommendations I will tinker with them too. Like your build as well and +1'd it for ya.

Why not Cliffhaven Vampire since Pious Evangel Flip Make you win life for each creature, one of each and then Secure the Wastes

@Nick.lott thanks. I made some changes adding back Cliffhaven Vampire and March from the Tomb This is now more like where I started with the deck. I wonder if it's even worth keeping the lone Gideon, Ally of Zendikar in there?
