The Golgari thrive off of death and decay. This deck is meant to grind into the late game while getting value from sacrificing your own creatures. Cavalier of Night, Vraska, and Plaguecrafter all appreciate having sacrifice fodder from tokens or Persistent Specimen. Once you've grinded to the late game, slam down your most resilient threat Honored Hydra to close the game. Most of your other creatures also help this gameplan by making other tokens or food sources for the cat.
