Ballyrush Banneret: Makes soldiers cheaper. There is almost no mana ramp in white and everything that could help is mana expensive. The solution: make the things to cast cheaper. Ballyrush Banneret makes the solder spawning ramp even faster! Having two out at once make soldiers (except Captain of the Watch) cost one white, allowing you to empty your hand of soldiers. (Note: Preeminent Captain is both a Kithkin and a Soldier. Since Ballyrush Banneret says Kithkin and Soldier, Preeminent Captain costs one white)

Lands:
Blighted Steppe: Land and life. It may only produce colorless, but its ability to sack it for life saves you in a pinch. Plus, it scales based of the number of creatures you have and the point of this deck is to spawn creatures. It turns the tide in a close game.
Plains: Do I need to explain?
Windbrisk Heights: The cheat land. Use Windbrisk Heights to cheat out the mana expensive cards (Captain of the Watch, Elspeth, Sun's Champion etc.). Later in the game it can be annoying to get, but it is good turn one. A few abilities can rock off of this card though, such as Captain of the Watch entering on the field when declaring attackers.
Instants:
Raise the Alarm: Quick response to attackers. In the early game, it can help in a pinch when you need two more creatures to activate Windbrisk Heights and you don't see another way to activate it in sight. This card hold its own in the late game when Anointed Procession is on the field because it can prock their abilities well. Of course, it is always good to have a card that can generate surprise blockers.
Sorcery:
Launch the Fleet: Sends more soldiers to the fight. Ready for a large offensive: why not make it bigger? Need just a little more punch: why not get some more bang out of your creatures? Launch the Fleet has your back! For one white and a colorless for each creature beyond the first, you can turn your average 1/1 Soldiers into soldier spawners (until end of turn). Why would you NOT have four of this card in this deck?
Planeswalkers:
Elspeth, Sun's Champion: She is more flavorful than actually of major importance. While She does spwan soldiers and can spam quite nicely with Anointed Procession, but she is mana expensive.
