Key Features

Explanation

You might think surveil is a control mechanic at first but you will soon realize that with Dimir Spybug + Thoughtbound Phantasm released in the same set, surveil can also useful for aggressive builds to pump up dudes as well as smooth out your next draws (find answers or find more creatures to rebuild the board).

There are several strong cards that just also happen to have Surveil as a side-effect such as Sinister Sabotage and Price of Fame, use these to your advantage!

Notion Rain, a card usually too clunky for control decks is the perfect card for this deck.

You have access to alot of anti-sorcery/instant counters in the sideboard, as well as card advantage through Disinformation Campaign against midrange/control decks.

Upgrading the deck

Land base is obviously better with shocklands, you don't want to be playing tapped lands in this deck.

You can replace some creatures here for powerhouse creatures such as Doom Whisperer but it's not necessary, the game should be decided already by turn 5.
