draftdump69 thanks for the suggestions! I watched YungDingo on youtube pilot the rona/goryo's vengeance deck; seemed deece. The deck where it is now, fairly budget constraint-wise; I've only got the ~12 tiks to work with on mtgo through the rental programs so though Urza, Emrakul, while undoubtedly make the deck better, a wee bit out of budget.

Grinding Station totally makes sense and probably find a spot in the deck. Other card-wise, I think this version will stay mono-U. Sleep-Cursed Faerie is a sleeper! but might not make the cut, not being an artifact. Mulling it over, the deck come across as artifact/go wide/aggro first, combo second/incidentally

keep them suggestions coming

rona, herald of invasion works with retraction helix + mox amber. more emries + rona might make playing more mox ambers make more sense. If you're playing 4 emries, having 4 Mishra's Bauble would be a no-brainer.

Urza, Lord High Artificer might also be a solid addition, allows you to generate infinite mana regardless of whether or not you have mox amber.

Generally, thassa's oracle is better than labman. other wincon considerations are Bitter Ordeal, Cut / Ribbons, Grinding Station or Grapeshot.

that being said, playing 1x emrakul is probably the best wincon. it would allow you to loot infinitely until you get an infinite mana enabler.

another direction to go is Sleep-Cursed Faerie. It might not go infinite but it can probably bounce your opponents board with retraction helix if you have an urza in play.

Quazer on Lazav, the Multifarious repeat cloning

From what I understand...

If I had Lazav, the Multifarious become a copy Sleep-Cursed Faerie in response to a spell targeting him he would gain ward 2 and the other player would need to pay to target him.

If that is the case, after the player pays the 2 and ward resolves, can I activate Lazav's ability again in response to the spell targeting him making him a new copy of Sleep-Cursed Faerie and thus making the player need to pay 2 again?

Nice deck. I would recommend Shore Up instead of Slip Out the Back for the additional utility of untapping Sleep-Cursed Faerie. I also love Hidden Strings to untap Sleep-Cursed Faerie or pseudo-ramp by untapping your lands or let you play things while leaving mana up for your counter spells. Favorable Winds is also nice to up the aggro since there are no lords to pump.
