Pantlaza, Sun-Favored
Legendary Creature — Dinosaur
Whenever Pantlaza, Sun-Favored or another Dinosaur enters the battlefield under your control, you may discover X, where X is that creature's toughness. Do this only once each turn. (Exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card with that mana value or less. Cast it without paying its mana cost or put it into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom in a random order.)

Atraxa's Dicebag of Holding (Need all the dice)
Atraxa's Dicebag of Holding won, finally, a long game. Oloro, Ageless Ascetic boardwiped; otherwise Pantlaza, Sun-Favored would've run away with it. Still, Madison rebuilt pretty quickly thanks to the Garruk's Uprising keeping her hand stocked but Atraxa took out Madison with my commander and the Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker, both with a lot of counters for a Solidarity of Heroes to double. Killed Ian with Commander damage. Thomas, playing Ezio Auditore da Firenze board wiped but I rebuilt faster and killed him with big creatures and/or Commander damage.

Saskia keeps hitting
Having completed my quest to play all 52 of my decks, I decided to try getting a win with all of my decks.
Sep 6
Saskia Keeps Hitting... Realized this deck absolutely needs a second mountain. With no way to win, kingmade Josh in my loss. Dave's Dr. Who put all of our creatures, especially Joe's Pantlaza, Sun-Favored's hordes of dinosaurs, Out of Time (hm, how fitting!) Losers' bracket decks go to 1-5

Arjun's Shifting Flames
May 3, 2024, I started a new quest. Having built 52 decks, I endeavoured to play them all, in roughly the same order as I created them.
July 26
Arjun loss, mana screw, miracling a Devastation Tide could not save me from Madeline's overwhelming dinosaurs Pantlaza, Sun-Favored discovered so many times 17 - 23-1. .425

Gishath Spared No Expense!!!
Hey enrico81,
I do like the concept of Pantlaza, Sun-Favored as it is a similar effect to Gishath to cheat creatures out. I just find the effect underwhelming for a 5 CMC. If the deck is working correctly, once I get Gishath out, I am not usually casting dinosaurs from my hand and cards like Strionic Resonator and The Skullspore Nexus easily double Githath's ability to rain dinosaurs at at much cheaper CMC with the extra protection of being artifacts/enchantments.That has been my main reason for not adding Pantlaza, Sun-Favored into the deck. Good card, just did not make the cut for my personal take on a dino tribal.

Hi, i was just wondering if exemple i cast my Pantlaza, Sun-Favored so i discover 4, after that the first card that i discover is my Green Sun's Zenith what will happen ? do i get to pay the x and cast the zenith or it's automatically 4 due to the discover 4.
thanks

It's a pretty relevant distinction on cards such as Pantlaza, Sun-Favored. You can always choose which dino it triggers on if you somehow happen to now what you want to discover into.

Volrath, Voltron Reanimator
Profet93- I'm mostly trying to make it as consistent as possible while still giving homage to my commander's strengths. I know there are better reanimator commanders out there, but Volrath was one of the first legendary creatures I ever played with and as such, has a special place in my heart. In the previous version, I was just focusing on having the biggest cmc black and colorless cards in MtG and trying to swing in with him for the win, but it was too easily disrupted and the ramp wasn't enough to get there just by playing 1 fattie a turn otherwise. I figured the reanimation package will keep me in the game longer and make this deck more than a one-trick pony. I'm simply looking to cut the weakest cards from the list to keep up with the other powerful decks I normally play against (Tergrid, God of Fright Flip, Be'Lakor, the Dark Master, Pantlaza, Sun-Favored, Edgar Markov, and Kaalia of the Vast).
leon_bulminot- This deck is not a 'sac' or aristocrats deck, so unfortunately some of your suggestions won't fit the bill here. My Kozilek is there to keep me from getting milled out against people who run infinite mill combos, and LotV is great at allowing me to discard a beefy guy from my hand to reanimate afterwards. The others Lilys are nice, but I actually cut a few tutors already to try and speed up the deck as too many tutors in a non-combo deck slow things down by paying extra mana for the cards you need, and this deck has enough ramp under 4 cmc that lily of the dark realms just barely didn't make the cut.
